Lad just finished sixth form and his good buddy there was autistic with some social difficulties. Now going onto university. 

I've also got a niece, who is on the spectrum (Asberger's) and has also gone.

My lad is a lovely softy and was at a mainstream primary school. They did too good a job with him so his achievement level is 'too high' for the special school we applied for. Currently doing a few hrs a day at a mainstream high school whilst we argue with the council.
