I'd forgot about soup and chips, it used to be something I had as a kid but it had to be either Chicken or Mulligatawny soup poured over chips in a Pyrex dish.

Might revisit it over Christmas

I think, I may have had tomato soup poured over chips in the past, I might have to give that another try

Nothing better then being ill and having chicken soup over chips.

Mind you my Grandpa gave me all sorts over the years - fish fingers, hashbrowns and tomato hoops were a breakfast favourite.

Right

seriously now, just fuck off.

Fishfingers for breakfast.

Is this suddenly a competition to see who can be the biggest food nonce on the site?

Fish at breakfast is deranged.

Anyway, as it's the Xmas thread.

Me, the wife and 8 yr old grandson went to what she thought was going to be a panto at the Lowry tonight.

Claus the Musical.

Avoid it like the plague, absolute shite, experimental musical theatre. Loads of baffled, bemused & bored kids there.

Yeah, didn't look that good.

I love it when kids get bored- the most honest audience reaction ever 😂

😄 to be fair to my grandpa he was a PoW in Japan so it was more a case of, grandson has been dropped off as he's ill, what do we have in? It's food so eat it and be grateful. Then I'll take you down the Vets - ill or not!

Loved it!

If you were manacled to a wall surrounded by your own shit and piss, looking forward to a day of having your toenails ripped out, I suppose a fishfinger would be a welcome meal at any time.

Otherwise, it’s the breakfast of a lunatic.

I don't have it very often but Kedgeree is nice, and on Christmas morning I'll be having scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on bagels

So after the breakfast of a beast, he took you to see loads of sick animals?

Funnily enough, just making that now. Always make it for Xmas breakfasts.

Same here although we add a bit of orange juice to it.

I love Christmas morning.

Pouring orange juice on bacon butties.

Will this madness never end?

Things I’m not missing;

* Work Christmas do

* Secret Santa

But the hamper I receive from a connection has arrived.

Got a great selection of pilsners in my Secret Santa. Good job really because Sainsbury’s didn’t bother putting my San Miguel in to my online collection (and subbed a 900g pack of biscuits of cheese for a 200g pack; they’re the real monsters of this thread)
