Mounts Kipper Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/7649090 what does every one think? my view is we keep him until the end of the season for stability and then sell him at the end of the season, whatever division we are in.
Boothy Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Personally, I think that article looks completely fabricated. There's no quote saying Allardyce has planned anything - it may as well have come from Tribal. As for offloading him January, i'm inclined to agree with you Mounts, we need him there for familiarity if nothing else. If his performances don't pick up in the latter part of the season then we probably should get rid as his heart will likely be with Fat Spud Head and Newcastle come then anyway.
no balls Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Personally, I think that article looks completely fabricated. It has been mentioned before, so I'm not sure about this one. Though, if he thinks a spotty oik haranguing him at the entrance of DeVeres is bad though, he'd better grow a thicker skin before he gets up there.
Boothy Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Yeah it will have cropped up before because they we're arse lickers while Allardyce was at Bolton. Any news item posted without sources or quotes is complete drivel imo. Agreed, if the 'abuse' he suffered when being substituted at h/t against Derby and the resulting yoof calling him sh?t got to him, then I doubt Saint James is a destination he could handle.
Worsley White #1 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 5 Million would be good business imo, however i would hate to see Nolan leave as i think he truly cares about the club, but as we know money talks.
Zico Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 not a chance of that being true Alladyce knows what Nolan is worth and he wouldn't offer it the geordies would have him sacked just for thinking of it if nolan is worth ?5M I'd hold out for ?40M + Shevchenko for Anelka more than anything it's a yank website
DavidBWFC Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 sorry but his heart will not be with newcastle he was here before allardyce somewhere down the ranks and he also stated that he couldn't see a reason for any player to leave bolton to go with allardyce up to the north east, he is a better player than many on here give him stick for, he is a good captain, he finger points i know but he keeps the players together whilst on the pitch and when he is captain the players don't seem to lose hope in winning the game
BWFC_LOVE Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Thought this rumour would come about in no time. I don't care what anybody here says, our fans are total knob heads for acting in the way they have, towards a player who would've loved nothing more than to be a one-club man for us IMO. Edited January 8, 2008 by BWFC_LOVE
chrisg17 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Well hes a better leader than our last captain jay jay great player but not a leader and the only possible replacement as captain would be davies so we need to keep him until the end of the season at least
SHAT Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Do the deal quick, before Allardass comes to his senses.
C86 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) I'll drive him myself. My car is tanked up and ready to go, I'll even pay for the fcuking desiel too. Edited January 8, 2008 by Crew86
Traf Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 The sale of Nolan would probably suit both him and the club. A no-brainer IMO: bye Kev.
scoobydoo Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 nolan out , guthrie in and 2mil in the bank.....sounds good
exiledwhite2 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 nolan out , guthrie in and 2mil in the bank.....sounds good All well and good saying that How sure are you Guthrie will maintain his form / fulfil his promise? How many goals has Guthrie ever scored?
Whites man Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Most players are mercenaries but with Nolan you get the impression it is his club. I will be gutted if he left but I think the spotty chav outside the De Veres will be in the majority.
Garrp Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Without doubt, the worst thread I have ever read on this site
dunster999 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Without doubt, the worst thread I have ever read on this site YES, YES AND YES AGAIN! Nolan, wether people like it or not is the heart of our team, in more ways than one. If Anelka goes this week and then Nolan then were are our goals going to come from? If we get 5 million who are we going to sign that will get 7 or 8 goals from midfield? He may not be the most gifted player in the world, but he gives 100% EVERY game for Bolton Wanderers and if we had 11 nolans on the pitch every week then we wouldn't be in the predicament that we are in now!
Scotti86 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 was talking to his uncle at liverpool airport before flying to munich, yes he did look like him.... he said to be to put a bet on himgoing to newcastle, hes been playing golf with SA near newcastle. he words not mine! scott
Worsley White #1 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Without doubt, the worst thread I have ever read on this site Have to agree with you there ......

no balls Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 hes been playing golf with SA near newcastle I was in the same pilates class as Naomi Campbell the other week. I'm not sure we're going to work for the same modelling agency though.
frank_spencer Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 was talking to his uncle at liverpool airport before flying to munich, yes he did look like him.... he said to be to put a bet on himgoing to newcastle, hes been playing golf with SA near newcastle. he words not mine! scott ever thought they may still be friends? i still talk to people at my old places of work, i went out with a few of them for a drink at christmas does that mean i'm going back to work for them? FFS anyone who want nolan to leave needs their bumps felt!
YATESY Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 FFS anyone who want nolan to leave needs their bumps felt! There are many on WW waiting to drive Nolan up to Newcastle themselves. If the ?5M bid is true I would accept it. Nolan needs a change of scene for the good of his career - the mindless pricks who boo him have virtually ended his career at Bolton.
SHAT Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 If we had 11 nolans on the pitch every week then we wouldn't be in the predicament that we are in now! Are you smoking Skunk?
