Whites man
HP do cash back and trade in offers and you can combine the 2. I ended up paying about £50 for an i3 laptop last year.

Traf
For you? Drill a few times through the hard drive. Stick it next to a very large magnet and then slip it into a coffin at the crem

e2e4
just got a new Toshiba one today £249 from Argos my other didnt kick up this morning whats the bet was to get rid of the old one If its still kinda working , take the drive out, put it in something like this and erase it with CCleaner using the Drive Wiper. Possibly reuse it if it's still 'good'. If it's broken who the frigging hell is gonna go through the rigmarole to get the hard dive working again ? apart from maybe something like this - it might cost thousands of pounds to repair it enough to read through and steal your wrote down passwords or whatever. , isnt gonna be worth it. if paranoid- unscrew the circuit board from the bottom, use a torx to take the lid off and throw away in seperate bins. the rest of the laptop should not hold any info or pictures or music or whatever. Bomb disposal will sort the rest.
