What fee did we get?

Magic beans?

£100k - £150k a month including non playing staff? You’d like to think the gate receipts could cover that.

I doubt 2/3 home games a month would generate much more than £150k after costs.

Did they get blind Ben from us as well as Pratley? We've well and truly paid them back for Dervite

Fuck him, never did out for us apart from make us laugh when he stood over the ball next to Ameobi on a free kick. Shit dwarf.

If we had the time or inclination then we'd surely have a solid case for Charlton tapping him up given that's been his likely destination all summer whilst still under contract.

probably not, the EFL let him leave on a free

they had a contract lined up for him one way or another - either via a fee like Magennis, or via him being allowed to leave because he's contract has not been honoured, like Ameobi

Yes true enough I'd forgotten that he'd won his appeal about his resignation being rejected, though clearly the Magennis situation has at least worked out a bit more profitable for us in comparison.

Twitter gone into a bit of a mini-meltdown over this line in that article "he will be available to play for the Addicks immediately."   when he was supposedly out for a month for us with a knee injury.

I read it as meaning there's no paperwork issues preventing him from being a Charlton player immediately.

Aye, first Sharpei to manage a footy club!

A lot of folk were demanding he played last season but I don't think he's been much cop when he has TBH.

A lot of folk; usually younger voices in NSL, used to shout, "Riga, Riga, Riga." In an effort to get him on. He was pretty shit too.

In both Oztumer's and Ameobi's cases, and those of every other player, the contracts work both ways. I'm fairly certain that the payment promised by the club was in return for the skill shown on a football pitch.

Maybe that's why they didn't get paid for half of last season

I’m fairly certain they get paid if they don’t so much as set foot on a football pitch for the duration of their contracts.

Which is, quite frankly, arse! What other profession do you not need to deliver the skill you were employed to provide?
