No doubt at all that we've missed his 'drive' over the past few weeks. Not surprised to see that he wasn't wearing protective face gear. Very much a backs to the wall performance ... but what do you expect with Sol and Matt Taylor in attendance?
  2. In fairness it doesn't get sung nearly as often as it should and very very rarely at home
  3. We often do .... and did last night.
  4. Just watched that clip and I thought Sam handled himself very well. Listening to the report on Five Live I as travelled home from the match last night, I got the impression that Sam had 'snapped' at Jeff Stelling. I would hardly have described his reaction as 'angry'. However this is just typical of the 'unbiased' reporting which the bbc are offering on this story. After Panorama was first aired, the BBC kept reporting that the programme showed 3 agents saying that Sam had taken a bung. It didn't - it showed 3 agents claiming that Sam might take a bung. They're clearly out to make him look bad. Chins up Sam!
  5. How will I recognise you tonight? Will you be the one finally getting your norks out? If you're worried about the number of people seeing you naked then tonight would seem like the obvious time to settle your bet.
  6. Afraid that IF they are correct then the NOTW includes a far more worrying story....
  7. I cannot wait for this one. Aways a good atmosphere at Fratton Park but the Big Sam / Harry allegations and the fact it is Milan's last match as Chairman should make it electric.
  8. The only problem with what you're saying is that Sam could yet be proven guilty and then we could look pretty stupid - none of us know the truth at the moment. At the moment I think that the only real grievance we can really have is the biased nature of the reporting. Why was Sam the only one of the 18 managers named? Why were they happy to rely on what agents were saying about him and yet had to blank out other managers named by the very same agents. As I've said elsewhere, surely they are reliable witnesses or they're not. That's why I think a protest against the BBC is justified
  9. I'll also be up for that at Portsmouth. I'm considering arranging a banner like my avatar .... unless anyone has a better idea.

What voucher numbers did you get? They're normally a pretty good indication of tickets sold thus far
  11. Personally I can't wait to hear what they come up with at Portsmouth
  12. It's got to be a big banner at Pompey. Live match, fans visible right behind the goal and I can't see their stewards having a problem with anything anti BBC. In fact they might just help us put them up!
  13. Not too sure how Sam would feel about it though.
  14. I don't think anyone on here is saying that he is innocent, just that we are yet to see sufficient evidence to make us think otherwise. If Sam is proven to have taken a bung then I would fully expect the club to prepare a P45 for him.
  15. Did we expect anything else? I'm not sure whether his dislike of Bolton and Allardyce in particular could be any clearer. At one point he admits: But he also says: Sam shouldn't have to prove anything to w@nkers like him. Innocent until proven guilty?
  16. I wasn't going to go .... until last night. See you all there!
  17. Was just about to Bextor by pasting the link myself. I particularly liked this one....
  18. Ordinarily you are able to watch the last Panorama programme via this link.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/panorama/default.stm However funnily enough it wasn't updated the last time that I checked.
  19. I do ..... for several reasons. 1. Why should a manager who already earns a ridiculous amount of money receive any money in an envelope when I have to pay tax on every penny that I earn? 2. Do we really want our manager to be making signings based on the amount of money he will be making from the deal? I want the decisions that our manager makes on where to spend my hard earned money to be based purely on footballing ability and nothing else.
  20. I would like to start by making it clear that if Sam is PROVEN to have taken money from transfers then I will be the first person demanding that he is sacked. Managers already earn more in a week than 95% of fans earn in a year. For them to take bungs is like a slap in the face of people like you and me. That said, last night's Panorama programme was a disgrace. The BBC is supposed to be at the forefront of journalism and yet in 2 years on investigations they came up with absolutely no evidence of the corruption to which they repeatedly referred. If 18 managers are involved, why did they choose to use Allardyce and Bolton as a scapegoat and fail to name any of the others? If they have evidence then they surely had to include it in the show. What we ended up with last night was character assasination of an easy target and I'm not sure who actually came out worse - Sam or Panorama
  21. What should an employer do? They should sack them immediately. As suggested by exiledwhite, if a manager is offered 2 players for the same price, their decision on which to buy should based purely on footballing ability. I would hate to think that transfer decisions are clouded by the availability or otherwise of a bung. Then again, how else do you explain transfers such as Bellion from Sunderland to Manchester United? Despite what I've already said, I agree with suggestions from other posters that it's probably best for us not to say too much on this right now. At the moment, it is after all, just rumour and scaremongering.
  22. Because I pay tax on my earnings. Why should someone already earning infinitely more than me be exempt from this?
  23. I'm still curious about what people think should happen to any manager actually found guilty of taking a bung - let's pretend for an instance that they have been caught on camera admitting to it. What action should be taken against them?
