Cahill
I don't know whether it's been discussed before, but Cahill has been a model employee while all this has been going on. When you think of that clown Modric, Cahill might have been expected to have to said to "close sources" that he's angling for a move or "his heads not right" on the basis that: 1. lots of hype yet no bids for months on end 2. suggestions that valuations are/have been miles apart 3. he's seen how others (Jagielka) have had more regular chances through being at bigger clubs 4. he's seen more recently that as soon as you play for a top 4 side, you're considered more strongly and others like Jones and possibly Smalling are going past him Personally, I'm still unsure whether he's top class but I applaud the manner about which he has been going about his business over the last few months. Modric on the other hand is a cock.

While there's little deterrent to committing crime, scumbags will run the risk. What will the 500 arrests to date result in, most will be released because of lack of evidence despite a mountain of reasonable assumption, and the rest will pay a 50 quid fine. Since the prison system can't cope, corporal punishment is the only answer. Guilty people should be punished by flogging all the way up to various forms of torture and for murderers/rapists/paedos, they should be put in a giant mincer to be fed to Third World countries. Victims should have the choice of whether to administer the punishment.- Iconic Photos That Need No Caption

Shocking tackle and no excuses. Has Tom Miller publicly apologised yet? Otherwise, let's get Ngog in sharpish. He's got pace, has a good goals to starts ratio and he's a young lad. Never thought he was given a proper chance at L'pool. Wonder also if OC is looking at that Chelsea lad, McEachran- Get Channel 4 On
You can see how easy it is for Robbo to get sucked in, probably on 5-10k/week at the height of his career when blokes like Wright-Phillips earn 80k for sitting in the stands. Must piss you off so he goes to Asia to trade off his name and contacts. All this bullshit about trying to get a team promoted, it's obviously about match fixing. Even if it's something as "innocent" as an owner asking a squad player to concede a few corners.- Golf Betting

one idea would be to have him on a pay as you play basis- Elmander Off To Galatasaray
Elmander's always suffered from the hefty price tag which is nothing to do with him. If we'd have got him for free, perhaps many views would have been different. The maths suggest we acquired his services for 8m + (2m annual wages x3) = 14m or about 90k a week. It was a bad deal to buy him at that price for a 3 yr contract. You'd rather pay someone with better quality for 80-90k a week on a free or nominal fee and pay them on a 2 yr contract. A 5 yr deal for the Elmander on the same wages as he's on now works out at 65k a week. Roughly. And if we wanted shut after 3 yrs, we might have got 4-5m as a transfer fee. Point is once we screwed up the original deal, once he was in his last 6 months, he was always going to look for more money and whether or not you think he played well, you can't blame him. The lack of a fee for the Turks and the lower tax means he could easily double his take home pay- So You Think
Good luck Bolty me old son, I know the pitfalls of putting up a bet which goes on to lose - we all know or should know the risks and 7/1 seems value. btw, with the time zone and the itchy need for a horsey bet during the day, I've been on all sorts of Aussies nags, harness, pacing, trotting, maybe it's all the same thing. Anyway, just playing 2 - 3/1 shots, sometimes coupling with the other joint fav. A lot to be said for following the money down there it seems.- So You Think

day 2 and it's ladies day http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1374830/Grand-National-2011-Coleen-Rooney-looks-pretty-pink-Aintree-Ladies-Day.html- Reserves
It's been disappointing to note that only Nolan and Hunt have come through the ranks and been first team regulars in the last 15 years. What's interesting is how many leave the club and do well in the lower reaches? Being an established Premier team, you can understand why there's not an abundance of first team players plucked from the reserves (though Villa, City, Everton don't have a problem) but you'd expect fringe players to do well in League 1 or 2. I remember a lad called Sinclair, played a couple of first team games about 5 years back, he got released but where is he? Same goes for that black lad who played up front about 3 yrs back, looked promising. Do the Academy coaches have a real eye for talent? We have excellent facilities but find it hard to unearth a rough diamond. Surely there's better prospects at BWFC than our neighbouring rivals?- Liverpool Day
