  1. In and fully expecting to see a team something like this, players still need game time at this time of year, those that played yesterday, don't need to be stretched (yet). Would still expect to grind out a win. Bod could be on the bench and given that IE has said he wants a L2 loan for Conway, he could possibly start. DJ would explode if Conway started ahead of him.
  2. Apparently the ticket scanners weren't working in the away end either. Had to manually look at tickets and phones. All a bit off a shambles, heads should roll.
  3. Played better since he got it.
  4. He who shall not be named on verge of signing for Wrexham. Will fit in well there with all the Welsh nationalists.
  5. This is a really good listen. Goes into our approach in more technical detail than the average interview.. Markham does as much talking if not more than Evatt. Comes across well. Covers our pressing strategy, how we scout and recruit amongst other things.
  6. Reading more than £60m worth of debts and the Chairman personally going to sort the HMRC bill out over the coming days. I've heard this before somewhere. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2023/august/02/club-statement-update-on-investment/
  7. Johnston signed a new contract to 2026. Good news.
  8. Evatt on BBC RM said watch social media tomorrow for news on Matheson. Also said we were after a couple of more but suggested nothing imminent.
  9. Story in The Athletic that Posh owe some Canadian company £14m and they are threatening to put them in Admin if they don't get their money. F*cked up league this year.
  10. FWIW. Saw somewhere that Ethan Hamilton is on his way out of Accy. Not convinced he would improve us and seems similar to what we've got. But at 24 he's a better player than the one who was here 3 yrs ago and could be an Evatt type signing, i.e someone we think we could improve.
  11. Hibs beaten by Andorra's finest in the Uefa Conference. ALF and Doidge leading their attack. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66330843
  12. Reading have had their transfer embargo reinstated today for not paying HMRC again this month, a few weeks after they settled the previous winding up order with HMRC. In the shit with 10 days to the start of the season.
  13. Management team in "Know what we're doing" shock.
  14. Away ticket scheme capped at 300 and now closed.
  15. The clock's ticking Daily Mail this morning. Blackburn players asked to play for their own flights Blackburn Rovers’ financial problems have been laid bare after players were asked to pay for their own flights if they wanted to find a quicker route home from a pre-season training camp. The Rovers squad spent last week in Austria but on their return could not get a direct flight and landed in Frankfurt, where the group stayed overnight. With seats home the following day limited, the Championship side’s players were given the option of sorting out their own return to the UK from Germany, but were told the cost would have to come out of their own pockets. As a result, some senior players took up the offer and arranged alternative travel, while most of the younger members of the squad stayed behind another night in Frankfurt. Blackburn are also facing legal action from agents whose fees are allegedly overdue.
  16. Taken the money but had no email yet, but only did it Friday afternoon.
  17. Excuse the rag. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12298281/Year-11-schoolboys-six-injured-horror-Lamborghini-crash-Royal-Mail-van.html
  18. Tickets remains a separate log in (your old name and password) for now. Single sign on later. The main site you have to re-register (as new) but as someone above said, it recommends you use your old main site name. It emails you a 6 figure number, enter and you're in.
  19. Curzon Ashton vid of last nights game - 8 mins long. 7.5 mins of us shooting the rest their breakaway into our half including the pen. Looked OK but still need to convert more.
  20. At Curzon Ashton watching the lads. OINO
  21. Saw home and away game, can't remember him at all. Can't see it, 31 yrs old in November and never played above L1, but has scored 8 goals in each of his last 3 seasons. In other news Lee Bonis who we were linked with has signed a new 3yr deal with Larne.
  22. So proud of him and he's not even our player!
  23. Also depends on your marginal tax rate. As the Captain said you can get almost 6% gross on savings (8.5% in your local club's Bond😁), but if it's not in an ISA you'll have to pay tax usually on your interest.
