At first I thought that I would pay 3 maybe at max 4. But when you think about it and think about some of the fees at the moment, I have seen enough of him already this season to suggest that he is already a very good player and will get bette and better, add onto that that he is English and the price rises for some reason, in a few years I can see him having a price tag of around ?10m, taking all that into account I would be willing to pay 5m, and at a push 6.

Nolans goal reminded me off his one at Arsenal in the last year at highbury. I know one looked a lot better, but for me it took as much skill as the one at highbury, when I heard someone say poked across the line I was not happy.

Joey is apparently out for 3 weeks aswell. Personally I would either put Andy O'Brien at right back and Michalik in the middle, or JLoyd at right back if you don't want to split up the centre of defense.

I know he is a decent young English player, but for me I think Liverpool would let him go for a bit of money. He is at the age where he wants first team football, and with Gerrard Alonso Sissoko Mascherano and that young Lucas all infront of him, it is unlikley he will get it for a number of seasons. Someone mentioned Arsenal and City, but why would Arsenal want him, they are very strong in the centre of midfield, and they are constantly bringing in there own young players, and if City want a new player then they will go out and spend a large amount probably on a big foriegn name. I would be constantly be persuading Guthrie all the time that he is here what a good place to move to we would be, and then try and agree a reasonable price with liverpool (up to 5/6m imo)

We played well, a massive improvement, we kept on battling, we scored a 93rd minute equaliser to make it only the 5th game in which we have got a point. CHEER UP!

Gary Megsons super white army. Back to the old method and it worked. Defense looked a lot more solid and Diouf and Davies upfront were quality, the amount of times they kept the ball when surrounded by 3 or 4 West Ham players. And Nolan will be back to his best soon. With Anelka back and a win in Munich we'll soon have forgotten about the past few months.

The lad is class, and by far our best midfielder at the moment. I thought Campo had a poor game, and Speed and Nolan were average, however I did think Nolan had improved, and was impressed when he ran 40 yards to turn a goal kick for them into a throw in in a difficult position. Hopefully Nolans goal will give him confidence and he can get his form back. Bring on Munich!!

Quality post Hughesy. What has he done to our club that means anybody can boo him, he hasn't even been in charge for a game yet, I don't care what he has done at other clubs I will back him as he is the BOLTON MANAGER. If he does well with us then that is all that matters, no different to any others that could have become manager.

My mate was at an Indian restaurant that Diouf co owns. Diouf was there and chatting with everyone, my mate said Diouf was absolutley class with everyone, he even let my mate go in his ferrari. Anyway someone asked him why bolton were doing so badly and his answer was "we all hated the manager". He was then asked who will be the next manager and he said "Paul Jewell".

If a manager is looking to manage in England, which a lot of the top ones are, then I don't see why we are such a bad option. Apart from the top four then we have been as likely as anybody apart from maybe spurs to finish the best of the rest. We are an established top 8 club, we are in Europe, we have a very good squad in which there is 1 world class and a few other very good players and we are only 1 good run away from moving quickly up the table. I know that it is most likely that we will go for the cheap option and appoint an English average manager, and there are some of those that I wouldn't be unhappy with (Boothroyd, Collins and maybe Jewell) but I don't think it is impossible to go out and get a fairly good foriegn manager (obviously nobody as good as Mourinho).

Mates a massive fan and when he got his tickets he was told he could have upper or lower. My guess would be that they will either have all upper and half lower as usually have or the whole stand.
