Nolan has maximised his learning potential since he left. He was brilliant for us but had some bad spells, most notably after his wife gave birth. Loss of form isn't exclusive to him though and i always felt there were issues between him and Megson which hastened his departure. Good luck to him but I suspect he will be looking for one last pay day. He belongs with the heroes of our club for his many many goals and honest approach, though his slaying of the urinals alone puts him right up there as a modern day great.

He's a trier and has good attributes like his pace. A decent squad player but seems to take 2/3 seconds to get his head up and his play is often very predictable. Like someone else said he would be better cutting inside now and then or releasing quickly but he is often isolated out wide.

I dread to think what would have happened if DF had stayed. Medo and Spearing holding hands all game and Beckford on his own up top. Didn't take Lennon long to suss them out. Some of our players' ability on the ball was shocking, second balls were created by poor control /shocking first touches. The midfield also lost its legs for some reason first half with players isolated in wide positions, no one within 20 yds of them. Putting such a small team out to start with was as puzzling as having the floodlights on all game.
