Said last week we'd a worrying look of Wolves about us, even more so this week. We can't score and give too many away. Only one outcome unless we can at least remedy one of those things and quick. I'd settle for a couple of clean sheets, however stinking the games may be.

Tierney brilliant, best player on the park, Baptiste steady, a threat when he gets in their box Mills and Wheater not bad, defending in front of them first half was non existent apart from Spearing trying to do three jobs Spearing overworked but did his best to hold the middle together Ream did well for 2nd goal and improved as game went on, passed it well but still lacks pace and physical strength when he has to defend With Eagles, Chungy and Hall, then Ngog later on, too many wanting to do the same thing, head down, run /dribble inside and shoot Beckford and Ngog were both embarassing, may as well play 4-6-0 and have a 'false number nine' as none of our forwards look like they'll score this side of Christmas. Agree with Mounts though that Beckford needs somebody like M Davies to feed him, sadly that won't be happening for along while yet and in the meantime he's going to have to put himself about a lot more than tonight. Our central defenders are shite but they'll keep looking like that when those in front of them (Spearing apart) give the ball away as much as they do, are so airy fairy when they've lost it and when neither forward has any appetite for working hard enough at making the ball stick when it goes up to them. Bit better tonight but a long way from being good enough to suggest a good run will follow

Mills / Ream, Knight / Ream, Knight / Mills, Knight / Wheater, Wheater / Ream, take your pick, whichever combination you use they're not good enough for DF to feel he can manage without not one but two holding midfielders in front of them, even in this league. Mills was shite, one or two gung-ho blocks yes, but also a load of wild hacks anywhere, a desperate rugby tackle when he'd been done for pace and abysmal distribution. Knight was the usual, terrible. Could have prevented the corner before the one they scored off and nearly gave one away when facing his own goal a few minutes later.

Booing your own isn't right and shows our arse as a group of fans. Knight was abysmal but so was Wheater, especially for the 4th. Pratley gifted them the ball for the 1st, Eagles did the same for the 3rd. Take your pick, either don't boo them or boo the f**king lot

DF could play any combination of the four CBs we have and we'd concede in shedloads. Beyond belief that faith's being put in Knight again, Wheater's slower than before his injury, Ream's too lightweight for this league and Mills is just a clogger. It was enough of a problem for DF to rush out and get Dawson, should have been number 1 priority for this season. If you don't have a solid base of keeper and two CBs in this or any league you'll go knowhere. Rest of this transfer window to sort it or be miles off the pace again by the time the next one opens

We've an Aldi and a B&M on same site in Royton, get all we need from there and save a panful on the big name stores. Peri-peri chicken legs you fire in the microwave are great for a quick tea on a midweek night. Not a bad selection of bottled real ales for miles less than the big boys. Plenty of other stuff e like and not much we don't

if DF had wanted to get back hold of the midfield second half I thought he might have moved Pratley inside, Chungy out wide right and brought Hall on wide left. Overall though, as many have said, they were strong 2nd half and will be up there. Bogdan was brilliant when they were on top, a lot to like about us generally and, with a bit of luck and better officiating we might have won.

Agree with all of this, the thing about not reading the other team out is really annoying, especially if they play in an awful kit like they did today. He did say Michael, dreadful.

Spearing's passing is limited, usually to his own team mates. Not a bad thing. We started winning when Andrews stopped playing. Davies, sadly, will be another Holden or Wheater, very long lay off then questions whether he'll be the same as before.

Thought DF might have taken Chungy off earlier, he was knackered. Massive win, I thought they were every bit as good as Leicester. Spearing absolutely brilliant today, phenomenal energy and stamina, never stopped running and tackling, Dawson fantastic at the back and Pratley another great effort again for the team

Similar tale from me, born in Townleys, lived in Little Lever for a short while then dad moved us to Whitworth becuase of his work (a village just outside Rochdale if you don't know) when I was a little un. I was only ever going to watch one team, dad played for the Wanderers in the 50s (on the fringes of the first team but not quite good enough at a time when they were in their heyday) and grandad had been going since the 30s. First game in 1971, stood on Embankment and watched us play at home to Sheff Utd, vaguely remember Paul Fletcher scoring the winner. 42 seasons later I've seen us in all four Divisions, some of them twice and wouldn't swap it for anything. I've an 18 year old daughter who's as mad keen as me and loves turning out for every game she can, work permitting, home and away. Bolton's a great place, full of brilliant people, BWFC are our club and we're proud of it

Indeed, getting better with games, been bursting to play regularly and show people what he can do. As I said after Burnley, saw most of his time at Rochdale and he was a decent, no nonsense defender who was a major threat in the other side's penalty box - double figures for goals in two successive seasons.

That'd be fine but he hasn't created anything for ages, an odd little run and shot here and there has been about it. More often than not since before Christmas it's been all running down blind alleys, getting brushed off the ball and sitting on his arse moping. Even when he was in better form he too often gave the impression it was all about him and not enough about seeing the bigger picture and playing for the team. That niggled me more than him being a soft arse. When we lose the ball he's a passenger we can't afford in the situation we're in. Maybe a little spell on the bench and coming on as a sub to make an impact late on when there are bits of space might have done him and his confidence good if he came up with a goal or an assist or two. Having said all that I was ashamed at the cheering when he was eventually put out of his misery yesterday, showed us up on TV as a clueless load of morons. There are enough (probably too many) ways these days to sound off about selections and decisions, booing and jeering the substitution and cheering somebody off the pitch was dreadful

If he'd been fit all season we wouldn't be where we are. Not a world beater but would have adjusted to this league better than most. Saw a lot of Dawson at Rochdale over the season they got promoted then when theye had the one season where they did well in League 1. He got into double figures for goals in both of those seasons. Scored plenty of them with headers at set pieces but can shoot as well, has a bit of Cahill about him

Agree with pretty much all of this. Could do with an experienced head behind the back four for a bit, Lonergan falls into Dougie's 'knows what this league's about' category, I'd use him and give Bogdan a break.

Giod knows where all the clueless retards we suddenly have 'supporting' us have come from. Heard some stuff today from one behind us in NSL and in the bar queue that was beyond belief. 'Calm down, fucking calm it down' was the advice given after one slightly hurried pass from somebody whose face was like a tomato and his veins were popping out. Subs delivered the goods though felt a bit sorry for Sordell, he might well have done if DF had brought either of Ngog or Davies on to work with him. He worked hard enough first half but had jack shit support or service. I was one who wasn't happy when De Ridder was hooked before Eagles but fair enough if he was tightening up. Eagles should have been benched weeks ago,hasn't affected a game since Blackburn away, well before Christmas Glad all was well in the end, though that team selection was far too lightweight for that sort of game. Strong men and strong minds is what we had on the pitch last half hour and it worked. DF might need to accept that a bit of power, pace and getting it forward a bit quicker's what will be needed to get us moving upwards, maybe we can revert to the tippy tappy possession stuff when we've the confidence of some wins and form under our belts Dawson did well, defending steady enough, big threat at corners (if he plays every week he'll get five or six goals before the season's end), just a bit panicky at times when on the ball in our half
