Fair enough. As plenty have said before, I don't see ken here for the very long term, so I can't see him allowing the situation to get progressively worse. He can't go down your doom and gloom route or he'll get nowt and be finished. It may be part of a plan whereby he intends to get parky to offload a few in January, if we can, and its a bridge until that happens. If the likes of Dervite and Derik can't get a game for example.

Nice try. Ken's a far better business man than I'll ever be. He may have speculated to accumulate, and that has started to pay off; but I can't for one minute imagine him doing something which may start to unravel the good work he's already done. Wouldn't look great for any perspective investors. Oh and by the way, the players aren't fucked, just perhaps not good enough. My mower isn't the best; but it was arguably my best investment, did my homework, and got one with few tricks but with a good engine; can get up and down consistently and isn't temperamental. I've managed it magnificently, low maintenance and consummate professional it is. What's your view; has ken bitten of more than he can chew, or hoping for a deal or two in the window.?

Yep fair point, though he was quite matter of fact; didn't seem to be on a fishing trip. It didn't show much of the interview either to be fair so context could be lacking.

Went in fairly recently after a match as the missus picked us up. Plenty of fans came in gathering a few essentials (mainly ale)- must have spent a fair bit all told.

Poor bugger- just gone for a long swimming holiday and some one catches it.

Interesting little piece with Ali earlier. When asked about the pressure/sledging etc, he said simply, "the Australians like to talk and big themselves up..." and that it wouldn't bother him. Beginning to think there's a bit of insecurity behind them. Start well and their press/fans may well get on their backs.

The couple of hours or so during the match, is ideal for the football disinterested house wife. Shopping done free from anyone else, a relaxed coffee and do one before the final whistle. Or at least chilled enough to wait for hubby and kids and put up with traffic.

I reckon a lot of polls etc are like that. Presumably, they take a snapshot of people then extrapolate based on the population.
