  1. Some glycols are poisonous, harmful etc. Any material heated to a point where it starts to thermally degrade is going to release a range of compounds some of which could well have nasty properties. If these things are only vaporising the chemical then you're still inhaling something which the body doesn't encounter in normal life. Simple. Don't smoke anything. Once read a H&S data sheet for a product based on ethylene glycol. The antidote for ingestion was a volume of whisky, brandy or some such, repeated over a given time period.
  2. It seems that the BBC are now looking further in wage cuts for blokes. They've already achieved ten percent and want more. That should make the ladies feel happier. You're absolutely right, you can pay them equally for me, so long as they do the same level of work, achieve the same level of success and have the same value to the organisation. You could argue all their salaries are too high, but if that's the market rate then so be it.
  3. Some trek that. Presumably that M1/A1 will be quieter now.
  4. Whilst you lot are queueing for Laura's labia, I'd be more interested in Jane Hill, Kate Silverton or Sophie Raworth. Or all three.
  5. Are you Shaun? Are you Deano? Do you go to the cinema when the match is on? A utd fan and a wum? Or do you just look like yul brynner in a roll neck sweater?
  6. Satan; are you affected by touch, or just by ingestion? Eg could touching willow for example set you off? My sister in law has a latex allergy, which was a bugger as she used to be a research scientist at st George's hospital. Can't get near the bog standard disposable gloves.
  7. No doubt about it. Just ruined when she opens her gob.
  8. Shouldn't have to though. I only ever leave in gear on a very steep incline. That being said it was a long time ago now.
  9. Yes to all that. Thought sky was not as good. Even when switching from BBC HD on sky to terrestrial freeview.
  10. And take that crocked gobbed scotched with her. Let's interview people, talk over them, be rude and ask/shout out the most inane, witless questions we can.
  11. Don't mind lineker. Presenting the program is a bit of a hiding to nothing when there's a couple of pundits there too. Perhaps they should have a normal Joe public fan in each week to sit with a pundit. Oh and I've had many a laugh watching top gear, sat with the lad who loves his cars.
  12. You may not have liked it mick, but millions did. Massive money maker for the BBC.
  13. Kinell. Mrs finch was in Fleetwood earlier. Lucky escape.
  14. Saw this earlier, had a brush with death in Thailand. Anyone wearing a Bolton shirt in EastEnders deserves some credit.
  15. Christ knows. Like I said I don't know the situation, just trying to equate it to a private company that has to make some money, or some areas of the public sector that don't.
  16. Are you looking out to sea? A bit of a display west of you.
  17. Not seen the list and don't want to. However I've seen that Chris Evans was top. Irrespective of whether you like him, he was doing radio and TV work, top gear being a big money spinner for the corporation. Without knowing the full situation, I'd guess he's worked longer hours than many and brought in more than taken out. If wages are to be reduced and brought in line, then a pay scale needs to be introduced and run it like other public sector areas that don't create income. No gender pay gap and full transparency. If they are to continue to income generate then some will earn more than others (equal pay for equal job irrespective of gender is fair enough) but to compare Evans with someone with a small slot on radio is silly.
  18. Yep. Just hope ka doesn't get fed up with it all and decide to piss off and pick fruit.
  19. True; though I think this has been discussed earlier, possibly trying to make an example of someone to stop others from doing something similar. Either way, I'm sure ka will have it covered.
  20. That win at Fulham- 1-0 down at half time? Came back to win four one?
  21. North Wales and the Tranmere lot getting a pummelling at the moment. Not sure its coming this way.
  22. All sounds good, just hope it gets done properly.
  23. He must have! I started in 1980 and he was fine. Dead eye dick with a piece of chalk, as was Mr Richardson (maths, favoured a wookie).
  24. Obviously don't know, but I wonder if, at least in part, that's why hmrc have issued it- bringing players in and not sorting them out.
  25. Ouch. Sounds frightening. I know when I've come round after a seizure and chewed my tongue, its swollen up a fair bit and that's uncomfortable. Nowt like you describe though.
