Argentinian Football Dirty?
Tonge moor green jacket replied to superjohnmcginlay's topic in Terrace Talk
The red just before 3 mins- Paul Robinson! That last break is horrendous Reminds me when Cameroon (I think) kicked lumps out of their national team in the world cup (Italia 90) -
Macclesfield 2 Wanderers 2

Whites will fail to keep a clean sheet. But will score between 5 and 10 Pratley to score some long distance wonder goal -
If he carries on driving as he does (my own experiences, not his high profile case), he'll be lucky to live long enough to achieve 'great' status. As for the result of the last fight, it does look dodgy

Bit drastic- was it that bad!

Unpaid Overtime

Like this- good management = good work environment I've experienced both situations- some places you are 'used' because you show willing to go that bit further. Maybe a back handed complement I suppose. Does my swede in though, when folks stop, even if a job only has 10 minutes work left- just sodding finish it -
A friend of mine came back to this country a few yaers ago, after spending most of his life in South Africa, He stated his belief that this was the most racially tolerant country on Earth! That made me feel quite proud Do feel however there is a danger of polical correctness, legislation etc creating a situation where people are concerned to even discuss race etc. Too easy to be labelled a racist. However, Suarez has been found Guilty of an offence within the disciplinary system and has been punished accordingly by an independent committee. Same for everybody, clubs know the rules. Get on with it. Sadly, Dalglish always seems to adopt a confrontational attitude in every press conference, with a spiky comments all the time. A truly strange character who I've never liked, actually fiollowing previous form. As my brother said last night, he'll only last a couple of years and be off again. He may have done LFC some damage in the meantime

Think Wotsit has promise; obviously learned a lot from Jussi- has similar traits. Could perhaps do with being a little taller, but there's nowt anyone can do about that
-
But we've lost the games we haven't won! Guess your cup is half full then Think we can stay up, bur far from convinced we will. This purely because of other teams in similar positions. Playing all the top clubs in succession may harm our cause, but we've done that and are still in with a shout. Hopefully the players can take heart from that and who knows.

Agree- but the contract could be a releatively small wage, with a large loyalty bonus when he goes. Just an insurance policy, so that when a club genuinely interseted comes in for him, we receive some money.
-
Costa Rica though. I know he made his international debut against them, but surely Wales versus a team made up of old team mates may more fitting. Strachan, Mcallister, Campo, Stellios, Shearer, Given, etc...
-
So it might not be so stupid to offer him a new contract, and put it in the public domain. Any club truly interested, may look to get in quick, rather than leave it till the 30/1/12 with an offer of ?M4 or 5. Create an auction. If none forthcoming, he might actually sign another short term contract, and we could still agree to a release fee- perhaps one a little lower than the previous.

I'm also not convinced Gary now wants to go to Chelsea- earlier on after an England game, he seemed to issue a thinly disguised come and get me plea. Not sure it is now purely about money. There is reportedly unrest in their camp with regard to AVB and senior players. They're lacking consistency. Does he want to go, then AVB lose his job, and the new chap not actually fancy Cahill in his first eleven? SSN reported earlier rumours than United looking at his situation. After last night, there is clearly still togetherness, and his situation doesn't appear unsettling. Perhaps, given our recent run there is still some hope of survival, in which case it may be worth doing an Elmander. If we could stay up then it would be worth losing ?6-7M. I'm suddenly a lot more optimistic, and it might be worth the gamble

Sagging- Aka Pants Below The Arse.
Tonge moor green jacket replied to Danny G's topic in Behind The Stands - 'Classics'
Is that persons body on backwards? His arm appears bent at the elbow suggesting he's facing the other way. His hand though doesn't. Is it one of Satan's Burnley fan creations? -
Everton 1or2 Bolton 3or4 Both sides with 10 men. Jussi to score with a wind assisted overhit clearance, mis-judged by TH. Still remember McDonagh's against Burnley

Tosh that- as a fan paying entrance fees, SKY fees etc then you are paying their wages more directly than you are to public sector workers. When you buy a car you are also paying wages of the dealership and manufacturer If there is a right to know wages it should apply accross the board. We do know however that that will not happen in football, and the financial rape of the game by a few greedy bastsrds will continue. Whether Cahill's rep feels he should get paid the same as others or not, it's difficult to have too much sympathy when they earn in a week more than the majoity earn in a year. Thought this through for a while now; whether his situation is having a detimental effect or not, the simple fact is we are going down with him. Therefore take the money, and use it for re-building for next year. Cahill has behaved well in this, but he's been paid bloody well to be professional- now then Gary, if you do want to go, then tell your rep you'll take the offer, prove yourself and ask for a new contract later. Let BWFC, who afterall rescued your career, get something back

Until recently never heard it called lobby. Only ever 'tater hash. always made with skirt. Corned dog poor imitation. Never carrots- just becomes a casserole Always with pickled red cabbage. Is lobby from the more western fringes of the region- scouse meets hash?

Dunno if it's mentioned earlier, but I thought Coyle got it right. Players seemed motivated. A plan apparently to exploit their injuries in defence. A solid 2 in the midfield. Played some football and didn't just continually lump it to a stump with worse control than my garage door. Coyle's had some stick and deservedly so, but by the same token well done.

If he's out for a while what about Wayne Bridge- loan till season end. Mancini wants him to go and it might suit us and him short and long term. Keep Robbo on his toes too.
-
Agreed entirely; if it's up in the air- forget it. Into feet far better than KD. Get him fully fit, making them runs down the channels and we'll be o.k.
-
Brave on his part- if we'd gone 2-0 down it could have got uncomfortable
-
Until he went off, I had Alonso MOM
-
Totally crapping it that 2nd half- made worse by missing some good openings
-
MOM for me too tonight
-
Is that currently, or from now on? Not heard his recent comments Petrov, Steinsson as discussed above. Maybe he's confusing ability and commitment

From earlier comments it would seem Mr Knight. From his performances Kev Davies Cahill has had his head turned not the same- let him go Kakuta will go back anyhow Boyata prob can't be arsed- why should I if others can't sort of attitude? Tuncay probably can't be arsed- hardly surprising not been tried, N'gog pssibly feels same. For a start
