To be fair smiley, there was a similar question raised re the floods in Bangladesh compared with Houston. A news bod explained that safety, logistics etc were taken into account when reporting such stuff. Its probably easier and safer to report from Florida that a small Caribbean island.

They're from a place in county Durham. Been going on holiday there for around 23 years on and off. Its a working farm, where they breed one litter at most in any one year. Used to use them for working but now as pets. I've known many of their ancestors, including grandparents and parents. All very soft and friendly. The pups have got used to people straight away, each day they'd be let out to play and every one would fuss them. To be honest wouldn't have bought pups in any other situation.

Stones bitter was wank. Remember once I'd made myself a steak, chips and all the trimmings. Sat down to enjoy it and had a can of stones to wash it down with. Knocked the can over onto my dinner. Fuckin ruined- it went in the bin.

Murray out for the rest of the season. Needs to get right for next year, as I can't see him going on too much longer.

Long story. Wife and lad have been wanting a dog for ages. Me too, but not been too well on and off for a few years so didn't want the responsibility. Feeling much better these days, and decided to relent (plus everyone reckoned a dog would be helpful). I said We'd get two so they had a bit of company when we're out at work. Went to collect them, set off home, got a couple of miles down the road and got all soppy. Couldn't leave the last fella from the whole litter, so went back for him too! They are hard work, when they're scrapping and pissing etc, but I reckon they will be great in the end.

Got a piece of buffalo horn. Its rock. Barely scratched it!

Not great, but I'd guess both teams won't fond it easy with the conditions.

Strangely, I always feel a minutes silence gives the away team a bit of a boost. Not sure why, perhaps if it is specifically for the home side, the silence reduces their fans ardour.

I believe so! To be fair, so far no furniture has been chewed. As we have a wood burning stove, they seem happy to grab a log from underneath and whittle away at that. Not ideal, but its hard wood and doesn't splinter. No problem with the voice tone- its my lad who has a bit of difficulty, but he'll be reet. They are pretty good really in terms of wrecking stuff; I'm popping in and out so they're not left too long and they seem to entertain each other. Big garden is a help, but they are getting ready for more open space.

Felt a bit short changed with just seven episodes! That said looking forward to next series. Not sure why, but I reckon John Snow might cop for it. Anyway just recently seen episode three of californication. Rather interesting.

Wow thanks all. Quite keen on the diet side of things, (suppose I should be as I sell pet food), not bothering with loads of biscuits, and trying to use as little as possible whilst training. 'Treats' or rewards, are dried tripe or dried sprats and will be taken into account when we measure food. Not going to bother with artificial/manufactured stuff. Main difficulty is house training is ok, but if one has an accident then the rest seem to want to overpiss! I've been told to use bicarb solution to remove scent to help to stop them from pissing in the same place rather than going outside. Obviously mop straight away with floor cleaner/disinfectant but they seem to smell the same area and then start to piss. Gradually improving but this is the hardest bit! Learning their names and recall doing quite well. Three lads, and they battle Royal at times- hoping they'll chill a bit once I can take them out properly and burn some energy off.

Kinell embankment, that's some list. Oldham breweries- op mild. Sam smiths, didn't get much but was good. Got wrecked on Robbie's (fighting ale my dad called it) at my granddad's funeral- he left a little cash with instructions to raise a glass. Hyde's, Wilson's bring back memories. Used to have Mitchell's when lived in Lancaster- was very varied and generally poor- perhaps needed a good cellar and keeper.

Anyone done it? Stupidly we've acquired three, currently around 1o weeks old. Driving me bonkers, house training OK, but with plenty of mishaps. They've loads of energy but can't go out yet (second jab tomorrow) Any tips?

Interesting point smiley. Back to that documentary a little while ago. The trickle down effect from the megarich has been shown to be less than expected, although obviously exists to a degree. The point being that the majority of folk effectively don't get the benefit of the spending of those top few percent. Either way, whatever the situation, if everyone (people and companies) paid their dues, then public services would be better, and maybe rates of tax could be reduced a little.

Poor bugger. I was weaned on tetleys, and with walkers Warrington ale, thwaites, and the likes of wards available at one time, not too far away, there was always a decent pint to be had.
