  1. A high profile American in a largely Muslim country, whose population is reportedly wanting a more 'Islamic' rule, on the border of Syria, etc. Be fookin mad
  2. Would they go into the EU? If not, all Scottish nationals working in England may lose their entitlement to work here- big boost for England's jobless!
  3. Bents= Pay through the nose. Some of these big garden centres are rip offs; just paying for bloody big plant labels, the presence of a glitzy, trendy cafe selling broccoli and stilton soup, and a shit load of tacky decorations at Christmas. Boscow Road Nurseries- rough round the edges, plants sometimes need a drink, but proper value
  4. How many were from the bench? Anyway, his agent has stated 'untold issues' that people would understand
  5. He's good on sky- will be interesting to see how he does with England He was passionate for his club, to the extent where he became a hate figure. Kinell how we could do (could have done) with a couple of winners of his ilk.
  6. He didn't always play last season. Maybe a way of testing the waters
  7. I'll also second this. People I used to sit next to at the Reebok once sat next to him on a plane. They confirmed what a decent, unassuming, level headed, polite etc... chap he is. Could do with a few more like him
  8. If all these 'rumours' are true- aren't they being potentially jeopardised by being put on here? Then again we rarely sign anyone early/who sound half decent so keep 'em coming
  9. Good day's work in the end Broad's growing up now- looking good
  10. If a striker scores 20-25 a season he can stand still for me. He might not be the most mobile, but he still knocked a ball played into him off to a supporting player quicker than other strikers. He has more technical ability and eye for goal than the rest combined. Tony Philiskirk was no marathon runner, but still put the ball into the net on a regular basis- good at his level Good luck Ivan
  11. Good luck to him. All the best Rather he do it now than hang around and play without really wanting to. He's put plenty of effort in this season, but I also wonder if he has an abrasive personality that winds others up? The king is dead. Long live the king
  12. Just a pissed up sweaty sock. Be intersting if Blackpool win the play off when Rovers play WHU. (If BSA's sill there that is)
  13. You would assume this would be the case but I don't think it is. I once read a couple of Books by Garry Nelson- some interesting insight into players' mentailities. They are human after all and suffer frailties like everyone else. Whether they should or nor is open to debate. The very best tend to gravitate to better clubs. BWFC is not one of them.
  14. The party should be the giving out of P45s
  15. We did that with Owen Though I tend to agree; not Bruce et al
  16. Are the other 2 successful companies offering better terms? Might there be chances of going working for them? Or is this over simplification and bollocks?
  17. Atmosphere at the first couple of games at the Reebok Constantly annoying the press with our long ball successes (though sometimes it did become a little tedious) and consequent Europe adventure 3-1 over Arsenal Anelka's first goals for us
  18. Reporter interviewed young Asian lad the night of the sentences. His response- 'It takes 2 to Tango!' Made me chuckle- I'll now go and flog myself by means of penance
  19. West Aukland- winners of the first world cup Must be a few sentimentalists going
  20. An interesting figure- ?10k Most folks would take it. That sums up all that's wrong in the game; it's described above as a life changing amount- whereas for your very average prem player this is a weeks wages. Hardly life changing for them. Hence not a good reason to get too stressed over the bastards
  21. Best football match ever for me. Still the loudest I've experienced under that tin roof when Savage's goal went in. 50 year old fat bastards who you didn't know from Adam suddenly developing the ability to spring like a Watusi tribesman and land on you from a great height- but it didn't matter. Still get goose bumps recalling Savage collecting the ball, firing it in and the ensuing mayhem Brill
  22. He does have a point; different people feel it more than others, but that dull feeling and impending dread as a game approaches is not good for the spirit. Get the weekend over and done with one way or t'other and roll on the Summer.
