  1. Thought we did alright, Doyle has done alright and like others have said I feel like we're slowly improving, I'm not expecting miracles its going to be a long road back but getting a team together that can go up
  2. Yeah can't even imagine it poor bloke, I'd forgotten about pep until you mentioned it, amazed by him being able to keep going.
  3. Died last April just checked, he said that going to work helped as a distraction, people react differently to grief I certainly wouldnt take someone else's reaction as the rule. Pretty incredible that pep kept going to be honest
  4. I can't stand liverpool, love them losing but I feel sorry for Klopp, mum died and can't attend funeral, in most jobs that would give you a few weeks off to vaguely get your head together
  5. Got called in Manchester, spent two weeks reading a book and eating free dinners never went into a trial..
  6. You should be getting one of those covid community awards for this zico.. consistently delivered for nearly 10 months..
  7. That's brilliant thanks very much, exactly what i was looking for, when this is over I'll get out and report back
  8. I forgot another highlight of the nobhead uncle, he said that no one would achieve anything in life with a bolton accent ( he came from Watford!!)
  9. I've only been to seahouses on the coast, I've heard good stuff about Bamburgh and other places further up the coast, like I said I need to get back up there, any recommendations gratefully received
  10. Anyone looking at doing a will tomski and me know a wanderer who does a great job
  11. I feel for you Micky D, when my grandma got dementia my uncle went through her flat to find her will. When he found it and saw he was getting nothing he sent her upto Bolton from where she lived and basically washed his hands of her.. he was a millionaire so didnt need any. Whenever you went to see him he spent all his time moaning about scroungers then told you he hadn't paid any tax in years and those who did were mugs.
  12. Going on holiday to Keswick.. I thought staycation meant you stayed in your house? I'd love to get up to scotland though and look more at northumbria, been to Alnwick which was nice place but been disappointed with other stuff seen there.. went to portmadog, criceith, abersoch couple of years back thought that was fantastic place.
  13. My mate does the PA at salford, has done for years, he said that when they built the stadium they spent hardly anything on the pitch, it still slopes, I wouldnt be surprised if its off
  14. Would have been great away day drinking round prestwich. Still can't believe we're playing Salford in the league
  15. It's a shame that even on this people are having a go, I genuinely don't think the vast majority of people irrespective of political views etc have a very different outlook on the world, we're stuck in this shit together certainly better to be kind.
  16. Not sure if its been covered not looked on here for a while but job adverts I've seen for immunisations seem to be training up the vaccinators and using nurses to supervise the sessions.. I'm not sure who checks for allergies and what the comeback will be? I'd guess the nurse overseeing the session will be in charge of adrenaline in case of bad reactions, not sure if that means they need to be a prescriber theres not too many of them. Couple of mates in Stockport have been seconded from the chidrens ward to do vaccinations.. they seem to have given quite a lot to health professionals there judging by how many people I know who've had it.. I've no idea on numbers though beyond that anecdotal evidence. I've seen a few comments under adverts on Facebook for this saying the hourly rate isnt great so might struggle to get people due to that.. I'm still fairly hopeful that with a bit of luck the vaccine will make it a much better world by early summer
  17. Stayed in same field but changed job just before turned 40, had to go back to uni but best thing I've ever done, loved old job but it was slowly killing me.. definitely go for it
  18. Yep matches I went too have had zero social distancing with big groups of people stood together who must live in a commune if they're in the same bubble.. I backed the 150 capacity as gave chance to find a space, i was fine but people still stood in big groups then they're all moaning when its cancelled.. I was hoping by easter would be able to play fixtures with reduced capacities and covid controlled club houses.. looking at news today though not sure now. Vase match I went to couple of weeks ago was still the same and bloke selling programs telling people "you dont have to wear masks today"
  19. Emley boss saying leagues should just play half a season, seems best solution at step 5 and 6, form new northern league at step 4 and have no relegation as teams just replace clubs who have gone up. Higher up though clubs will be getting lawyers involved if relegated I guess. Should never have cancelled last season, was obvious pandemic wasnt over.
  20. Watching stockton in the vase tomorrow. I don't think their league will kick off before March at best looking at the way clubs have voted against playing in tier 2 as well.. be some fixture pile up that
  21. Couple of years later that, I can remember this one wolves kicked off and their first 3 passes were greeted with a deafening boo, 4th pass went straight to a Bolton player. You could see everyone look at each other and think shit we've got them here, we can help win this.. incredible atmosphere
  22. Yep I was in many road terrace for the only time and I remember exactly the same thing he was incredible that night
  23. Wolves at burnden in the play offs.. better atmosphere for 45 minutes before kick off then pretty much every other match I've been too during the game.
  24. Mate in Peterborough watches Sports up there. Playing in trophy tomorrow and police are banning fans so FA saying its fine means nothing
  25. Gainsborough suspended season tickets. Charging flat fee of 10 quid to get in said it's only way to survive. Seems a right mess all this
