Newcastle......The next City??????????
Ghana White replied to DomRepWanderer's topic in Terrace Talk
Forgot to mention, living up here the talk about the North East being a hot bed of football is boring and largely bollocks.. north east population is only a bit smaller then greater manchesters (no such place) yet there are 4 league clubs there and 7 in GM with bury and stockport being there not so long ago.. -

Saudis largest funder of extremism in the UK.. links to boko Haram, ISIS and Al Qaeda.. I think I'm happy to stick with what we've got thanks -
Does the bloke pissed out of his head still pretend to be a parking attendent outside harphurhey asda at dinner, used to love seeing him guiding cars in to spaces

We play some great football but it's frustrating at times, ball didn't bounce for us a couple of times in the area, don't look like finished article but still think we might make play offs, fans great yesterday, was sat in front of thogden, weird hearing them commentate through the match, worse ways to earn a living I suppose.

Yep Teesside, hard to get a decent one outside the area

Has anyone mentioned parmo? Anyway I'm saying parmo, class dirty food

Dont post much but I'm gutted to read this, just to echo what others have said really, I've been on here nearly 20 years and met so many sound people, its made me really feel part of something, those friendships have enhanced my life never mind going to the match. I've lost count of the number of times someone on here has been down on their luck and people have rushed in to offer support, or the money raised for charity as well. I'll be forever grateful to Happy for the friendships I've made through here, I'm someone he's only met fleetingly yet he's made a big difference to my life.. as someone else said that is some legacy

When they did up ritzy in mid 90s I had some mates who were doing the lifting for it.. said they'd brought in specially chosen couches to stop all the shagging on them.. not sure how successful they were

An Area Of Your Town Changed Beyond Recognition.

Lived in Liverpool for a few years, didn't go back for about 5 years and when I did they'd built Liverpool one.. bloody hell was like a different city, couldn't find my way around I'd just see the odd shell of a building I recognised.. then the industrial park near where I worked had become the baltic triangle.. incredible transformation -
Ended up getting pissed with him in Darwin couple of times after playing blackburn.. top bloke had some great stories
-
Blokes done the business and returned back to his life, fairplay I reckon

Nearest beer garden the friendship although golf club might have one which is slightly closer and the star inn might have one the other way

How much does a cherry picker cost?

Unbelievable, let the family grieve but don't impose it on the rest of us..

Lakes and Peak District both fantastic, love it around keswick.. went to snowdonia on holiday couple of years back and that was incredible, if the steam train journey there was based in Italy rather then Wales travel hipsters everywhere would be boring people stupid about it.. beautiful place

I'm just being pessimistic to be honest but once vaccine gets rid of Kent variant it's if anything replaces it, hopefully it doesn't and we can crack on, or the boosters keep us ahead of it..

Slightly off topic but why have mosques and churches stayed open during the pandemic? Surely religion is just a hobby and as important to mental health as going to the football or rugby etc for a lot of people.. as for the picture just feels like everything else at the moment, extremists take over and get given respect they don't deserve -
I reckon we should get August and September in the grounds to some extent, after that God knows, just hope it works out. Can see no away fans next year and loads of home ends full of bolton fans jumping up when when we score
-
Yep loads of Americans are obsessed with the royal family and cant believe when you're not arsed about them.. all just seems a distraction for the press so they dont have to confront the real news
-
I take the persons obsession with us as a compliment.. love pathetic stuff like this, we're in league two and still matter enough for other fans to do crap like this.. keep it coming

I'm going to come across as ancient but as a teenager we'd get mugged in manchester by kids with knives, we knew most other kids in westhoughton, you'd get the odd scrap, I remember some army cadets twats beating my mate up but we knew who they were and the police caught up with em. The idea you're getting scroats with knives doing kids over in westhoughton is nuts

When I was there I never got called but asian lad I talked to would come out of a trial and be back in the next time a trial started, I guess its trying to get a representation but he never stopped in the two weeks. A trial was delayed as well waiting for a juror to return from dinner, she rolled in about an hour late with10 bags from primark, she couldn't see what the problem was, few of the potential jurors were proper off their heads but met a few sound people
