  1. Keepers fault all day long, he is a disaster
  2. Too cautious. Ireland are obviously not as good as Belgium, but liked that performance, eleven players comfortable on the ball, adventurous and incisive. Then for the big game, his favourites in, some of them out of position, attacks slow and laborious. Also is Pickford tall enough for an international, have a feeling the Burnley lad would have saved the second one.
  3. Yes he did, saw that one, looked decent
  4. Already Tutte a better player than White

Our signings from semi-pro worry me too. FWIW I think there is a player in Gordon, someone said earlier that he is 12-18 months from being ready as a league player, and that is probably right. Thinking of our previous signings from non league, and it is a long time ago so please correct me, I can only remember Caldwell straight in the team and scoring, Oghani was on the subs bench for ages, Came and Macateer playing reserve team football for a while before stepping up. These new players have no reserve team football to play and are getting used to training and practising every day, they are just not ready at the moment.

I don't know if I am reading too much into this, but I just don't understand this Crellin thing. He's clearly not up to the job and the poor lad will not be playing league football for a long time, he's basically ruined. Is this some kind of internal politics between Phoenix and Evatt, did Evatt want another goal keeper or two, was he told no this is your keeper and get on with it? Who knows? It is bizarre because it is clear as day he shouldn't be playing, an unfit Gilkes has got to be better than this kid.

Crawford off, Darcy number 10, forward on
  10. Same, kept the ball well and made good runs which were not picked up, drifted out if the game second half when we were out battled. Seems we have an abundance of number 10s at the moment. Although 99% of the time Crawford's decision making is abysmal, I suppose that is why he has spent his career in the bottom tiers. I would like to see Saracevic in a more attacking role, maybe number 10, but that leaves us short f creativity in centre mid. We need a plan B, pass, pass, pass but what is wrong with taking a man on, it doesn't happen. For what it is worth I think IE will be with us for a while, but the balance of the squad is all wrong and we need to cut out all these stupid basic errors from both young and experienced alike. Plus some of the team just don't look fit, I thought Mansfield looked fitter and stronger.
  11. Nor upper body strength, gets knocked off the ball too easily. Although having said that very little options and movement from midfielders and forwards.
  12. we haven't got much to offer we look non league
  13. Remember one in late 70s, cheap coaches put on. A nilniller on a quagmire. One coach all passengers turfed off, something to do with Spurs fans.
  14. I suppose all I really care about is that both goals scored were great. Crisp passing, good movement, perfectly executed. That is a massive change to what we have been watching. Onwards and upwards.
  15. Agree totally about Darby, was given unfair criticism by some. Vela was ruined by Parkinson, using him as a forward runner just to close down defenders. When played in midfield with Clough he looked decent.
  16. Know someone who was abused by Bennell. Never had kids because he had thought he would abuse them. Apparently its text book, when his Mum found out, she blamed herself for not noticing. It affected not just the person but all the family too. No punishment is to severe for animals like that.
  17. Completely agree, looks as good as that lad that went to Celtic
  18. If he has done nothing wrong in the eyes of the law. Then how can they block him. Bring it on!
  19. Thought it was Chinese money for the dog heads
  20. We seemed to sign or produce good strikers in the 70s, Lee and Davies just out of my range, but Fletcher, Gary Jones, JB, Stevie Taylor, Whatmore were all excellent players. Frank was the dogs bollocks though, had everything, ignored by England along with a number of other highly skillful personalities. Just wish we could have stayed a couple of more seasons.
  21. Went to that one too Frank was brilliant, think Whatmore got stretchered off and fell off the stretcher.
  22. Irrespective of football philosophy we are ar rock bottom. The great managers of the last 30 odd years Greaves, Rioch, Allardyce etc, would design a defence and midfield to keep a clean sheet. Get a couple of draws or maybe late wins, build on that, increase confidence and get up the league. I hope this man has the sense to see that.
  23. Thought it was Blackburn and Burnley, the Blackburn lads didn't go to the match so they were waiting for us to come out
