  1. Ricky Hatton - had some crackin nights home and abroad watching him Gerry Taggart - a bet he's a beast with the ale Wayne Mardle - mad as a box of frogs Charlie Nicholas - i'll go for his cast off's Andy Walker - my all time Wanderers hero Owen Coyle can drive the taxi
  2. Bloody brilliant win on saturday. I must admit I hoped for 6 points from QPR and Rovers but secretly feared we'd only get 3 or 4 so to get 6 is a bit of a bonus. I know Spurs comes first but we have to get down to that place on saturday, in big numbers and get right behind them again. If we can nick an early goal, the dogheads will hound their team big time
  3. I've done 4 marathons, they are fuckin hard work. Wouldn't fancy doing 3 in 3 days on top of the rowing and cycling. Fair play to him
  4. One of my current favs, dead simple slow cooker job:- Chicken thighs Passata (sived tomatoes) chopped tomatoes Challots Chorizo Mushrooms Lots of basil Red Wine - about half a bottle Then cook for around 5 - 8 hours depending on slow or high heat setting. Bloody brilliant it is
  5. My ?20 is already in the pot from that link in the Dr Andrew Deaner thread
  6. So if a chauffer would leak transfer secrets, he's presumably on his mobile phone too in his car. Given his apparant lack of regard for the law, I doubt he would be hands free
  7. Fish or steak pudding with chips, mushy peas and gravy is all I get from the chippy if I go
  8. Rise in fuel duty of 3p in August is still going through as planned though - they will be hoping this goes un-noticed by most
  9. A spontaneous minutes applause in the 41st minute on saturday - hopefully followed by a spontaneous roar when goal number 3 goes in shortly after
  10. Welcome Steve, Spurs as club from top to bottom have gone up in a lot of peoples estimations over these last few days, shows that people do really matter more than the football itself. Best of luck for hitting 3rd spot (but you can leave the cup to us please)
  11. One which has always stuck with me is Sheff Utd playing applause over the tannoy when the teams were coming out - goes back to the Deane & Agana days.
  12. We HAVE to rock the Bok for this one, do it for us, do it for survival, do it for Fab - one way or another we have to do it, 4-1 to the whites I hope
  13. Good stuff - i've just dropped them a donation
  14. BWFC and all involved have come out of this with great credit for the way we have conducted ourselves. I include the supporters in this, we have all pulled together with support for Fab and his family. We have to keep this togetherness for the rest of the season and onwards. I also think we will have some affection for Spurs too with the way they also conducted themselves - quick response from the medical team was crucial and there fans were also superb.
  15. I went to NYC in November to run/walk the marathon and missed our home game with Stoke! Never mind, loved the city. The Boathouse restaurant in Central Park is a great place to take the Mrs, especially if its sunny. Get there and book a table for a bit later and use the time to wander round central park. Rockerfella is miles better view than the Empire State Building. Hogs & Heifers bar in the meatpacking district is ace - its what the Coyote Ugly is based on and is used for some of the outside scenes. Use the subway for getting around - taxis are stupidly expensive because of the traffic. Stone Street down near the financial district and Staten Island ferry is a great little place for pubs and bars. Staten Island ferry also has great views of the statue of liberty, its free and doesn't get crowded the same as the ferries which go to liberty island. The helicopter ride over the city is great but a little expensive. Plenty of restaurants near the theatre district have theatre specials on where you can eat cheaper - my favourite is the Capital Bar & Grille in the Time Life building. Greenwich Village & SoHo is worth a visit - so too Little Italy. McSorleys as someone has mentioned is also great for meeting characters who like to talk boxing
  16. I was in Dublin this weekend when I heard the news of Fabrice, it pretty much stunned me all weekend. Its fantastic to see how the country in general has responded to it, the support has been incredible. Lets just hope we see Fab up and about soon enough and well enough to be in attendence at Reebok. Come on Muamba - you can do it fella
  17. Lets give the doghead the deaf ear - he'll soon disappear back under his rock
  18. A draw is probably the result neither side really wants at this stage of the season therefore i'm saying 2-2 and back to the bok where we'll triumph 2-1 after hearing that shitty spurs are on their way wembley song. We have unfinished business at Wembley - in fact, I think the business never even started
  19. I used to love Paul Comstive's corners, vicious bastards. Scored twice direct too against bournmouth I think - only thing he could do well. I prefer corners put to the edge of the 6 yard box and let the centre halves come charging in at them
  20. My old man used to take me in the late 70's to watch the reserves then 1st team afterwards so got a double dose of disappointment. Got my first season ticket at the tender age of 6 in 1980/81, also got taken to my first away game, Notts County on the opening day and yes we lost that too. No matter how much the whites piss me off at times, I'm a wanderer for life
  21. Only if its the Sunday game, got my cousins wedding on the Saturday. I will however be there to see us lift the cup
  22. I'd go as far as saying avoid defeat to wolves and rovers, granted wins would be nice, we have enough winnable games against mid-table teams to be ok
