  1. If you fancy a smook, get yourself to Katsu. Away from tourist coffeeshops, and in the mix of the real Dutch. Most definitely worth the walk. TNT CLC
  2. COYW Fuck me you're a miserable prick. I'm sure you just come here to argue with people; it's no wonder so many have you on their ignore list. Wind your neck in chap. TNT CLC
  3. Can't see any red trims at the moment. Hoping there's plenty of red on it too. I reckon I could throw that shirt over a crossbar TNT CLC
  4. If the claims are based on meaningless friendlies, I believe them and I don't blame the players for not being bothered. I'm a Bolton fan first and foremost. I hate it when international weekend comes round and I'm sure the majority of us do. Delighted that Gerrard has challenged him on it though. Oh and I almost forgot. Redknapp, you are a bitter, crooked, saggy faced cunt. TNT CLC
  5. Massive signing. Him and Deeney could get 40-50 goals between them next season. They did last time they played together.
  6. Most definitely. We were deep in relegation trouble, and Coyle had over £3m to spend on a player. This player should've been someone capable of playing his part to keep us up, given that we'd just lost our valuable asset for £7m. What does Coyle do? Spends it on an unproven striker he's never seen play, and gives him about 25 minutes of action all season. For all the money we spent on Elmander (transfer fee, signing on fee, agent fees and wages), we've probably lost a lot more on Sordell in the long run. All that TV money that we could still be receiving had Coyle been more sensible would've been nice for a start. TNT CLC
  7. I thought we were tinpot sometimes. Calling our place a shit hole has raised a smile though.
  8. I refuse to believe that you can't read that metaphorically. But I'll rephrase it just for you:
  9. We got overrun in midfield all season. Only when Muamba came in did that change, but Coyle didn't see it as a long term solution. When you've got Petrov and Eagles on the wings, we were crying out for Muamba and it was there for all to see. Not that I'm suggesting that Mark Davies shouldn't have played a part too. I'll still never forgive Coyle for dropping Muamba for the Wigan game, after playing out of his skin the game before. Absolute madness.
  10. Yes, that's exactly what I said. It's great taking two different sentences of a post and putting it together isn't it? I think I'll do it with yours: You'll be happy if he turns out to be useless?
  11. Dougie will come good. Even if he doesn't succeed here, he'll be a top manager IMO. I know that sounds daft as we don't see what happens behind the scenes, I'm happy to be proven wrong, and I agree that some of his team selections have been dodgy, but you can tell this is a very clever man who is fully focussed on several aspects of the club for the long term. You can say it's all talk, but I absolutely love listening to him talk football. The man comes across as well as anyone in the game for me. And I think we all know that his training sessions will be lightyears ahead of Coyle's era. Onwards and upwards
  12. Yet not playing Muamba was one of Coyle's biggest idiocies. Every man and his dog could see that he should've been playing every game. What a fucking moon man he was. I don't care that opinions are split on Dougie, I'm so fucking thankful for him.
  13. The only grudge I've ever held against Gartside was keeping Coyle in for so long, he should've gone 12 months sooner. I'd have sacked him after our shambles of a performance at Swansea. How we were still in with a chance of staying up until the final day still baffles me, we were absolutely fucking shocking all season. It was obvious that he was clueless, there was no plan B, the 'feel good factor' had gone and he didn't have the slightest clue. The fact his squad can't last 90 minutes and he's still touted for jobs amazes me. TNT CLC
  14. Never fulfilled his promise. I don't even think he's a regular a lot of the time, and certainly wasn't at Atletico. TNT CLC
  15. Played against us in both Play Off semis in 2001.
  16. After a long think about it, I found Euro 2004 worst. I know we probably would've gone on and beaten the Czechs in 96, but I was too young to really appreciate it then. In 2004 we were playing well. We should've beaten France in the first game, albeit the last five minutes cost us then. But Rooney was 18 and tearing it up. Gerrard, Lampard, Owen, Cole, Ferdinand, Beckham etc. were all mid-late twenties. Croatia got brushed aside brilliantly. I genuinely think we'd have won in 2004 had it not been decided by penalties, and it might be my best chance to see England win something. That Portugal side was terrible all tournament. I was delighted they didn't win it, and then there was Stelios parading his kid around the pitch in a Bolton kit. I was absolutely beaming after that. Only wish I had £100 on Greece before it all started. TNT CLC
  17. Indeed, Ameobi is the scourge of Sunderland. Decent penalty taker too. I do think fans views on him are mixed though. Many will be delighted they're finally shut of him.
  18. Youri was our first 'galactico'. The first absolutely major name that put us on the map. You really had to sit up and think "Is that really world cup winner Youri Djorkaeff alongside Anthony Barness?". For that reason alone, he'll perhaps be held in the highest esteem for me. His name tempted the likes of Okocha and Hierro to join, and in the long term built our foundation to progress as a Premier League club. The only thing that taints Youri's career for me was him having a spell at Blackburn afterwards. An absolute class act nonetheless.
  19. Joe Hart Glen Johnson Gary Cahill Phil Jagielka Leighton Baines James Milner Steven Gerrard Jordan Henderson Daniel Welbeck Wayne Rooney Daniel Sturridge Based on the squad I think that's what I'd go for. Not happy to be leaving Lallana out, and I'm not Henderson's biggest fan, but those two in centre mid have had a good season playing together. Welbeck just seems to make things happen for England. Big Milner fan too. Put him anywhere and he'll give you a 7/10 performance. TNT CLC

  21. Not that it'll matter, but I'm disgusted that Cleverley has made the 30 man squad. If ever there was evidence of big club bias regarding England selections, then this is it. I wouldn't take him, but Jonjo Shelvey is an English midfielder that's played every game and had a decent enough season. He also got selected for the squad when he was playing for a big club in Liverpool. Ever since he became a regular playing for a smaller club in Swansea, he's not even been touted for England selection. I bet if you put Cleverley in Swansea's midfield, and Shelvey in United's reserves, Shelvey would probably be on standby right now just for warming United's bench. Fucking scandalous. Not that we're flooded with defenders, but having Jones and Smalling both in the squad annoys me too. Both have had terrible seasons, but of course, they play for United. One of Caulker and Lescott would've gone for me, and if it's Jones & Smalling's versatility that intrigues Hodgson, why not take Flanagan who is capable of playing either side of full back? I'm happy enough with the squad though. The 2010 squad is a horror show if you look back. TNT CLC
  22. Offering 7/2 on Spain to top Group B today. They're in a group with Boltys Boys, Chile and the following terrible preliminary Netherlands squad:- Fancy Chile and Spain to qualify there. TNT CLC
  23. Provided we don't have a 10+ year exodus from the top flight, I think I'd take the world cup on this occasion. Bolton winning something as little as the League Cup vs. England winning the WC however; Bolton everytime. TNT CLC
  24. Back on topic, 5th July is good with me. TNT CLC
  25. 54th in the footballing ladder for binge drinking? Bullshit
