Tranmere 1 Wanderers 1
Having seen the highlights from the game, I think Knight's 'error' has been massively exaggerated. It was only a 50/50 ball from what I saw. Granted, one of his biggest faults is not putting his head where it hurts, and he wasn't as committed as he should be as a 6ft 7in centre half, but we all know that already. As for where we should expect to be, I saw somewhere that out of all of last seasons' Championship clubs, we had more top flight seasons than anyone else. One more than Rovers. But football moves in cycles for the most part, just get behind us FFS.

Bolton 0 Qpr 1
Given that Wheater has had a dodgy start, I think it's safe to say that Knight is seen as the best centre back at the club, especially seeing as he's the skipper. I'm just not convinced that Knight and Wheater are capable enough as a pairing, and I've never been convinced with them together, be it in the Prem or in this league. I rate them both highly enough in the Championship on form, but they're both clumsy and both need a commanding partner next to them to perform to the best of their ability, of which neither are. If things don't improve in the next couple of matches, I'd be tempted to try Baptiste and centre half and perhaps stick Mears at right back. I hear Hayden White got torn a new arsehole at Chorley, but can't confirm as I wasn't there. Anyway, 1-1. Eagles for us if he's fit. But we could really do with a win.

We Need New Defenders
Nowt to do with me chaps. I'll admit to finding it ridiculous/bizarre that the likes of "over and out Keith" and this Cheggars chap seem to be emulating my post signatures, but I'm not here to cause bother and I've learnt my lesson. I certainly don't want to ruin the site, and I can only apologise for the trolls that I've seemingly brought on.

Adlington
Top Spinners is a reet good craic, especially if there's a singer on. Bottom Spinners is also good, the White Bear and Cardwell are both passable. May be worth avoiding the Elephant as best you can. It's been taken over multiple times and has a rough reputation regardless of who's in charge.

Dangerous Roads
The A6 linking Adlington to Horwich has been the destination of some horrible incidents in recent years. Hopefully the thorough work done on it will save lives. Belmont during winter isn't safe in the slightest.

Andrews
On the subject of Warren Joyce, his Wikipedia is worth a read. Joyce was before my time, but I'm pretty sure he's done it himself going off how it's written: Anyway, Andrews signed a three year deal last summer on bumper wages. Thanks Coyle.

Our Mate Mears
He's really not that bad, perfectly adequate as a backup right back IMO. The problem is that some of the fans made their mind up on him before he'd kicked a ball, and when he did he'd been out with injury for the best part of a year. I got the same impression from fans when Eagles signed, luckily they've taken to him for now and rightly so. He was very much missed at weekend and I hope he recovers soon. Alternatively, if Mears is on too much cash and/or wants out then I'm happy for it to go through.

Spearing Fee Agreed
Talk about contradicting yourself. Spearing is what, 24? I'll hazard he's costing no more than just over a million, he's English and could be a mainstay in our midfield for the next ten years. How is that NOT sustaining ourselves long term? It could be the Vela finds his level in non league in a couple of years, simply because he's not good enough. Alternatively, if he's good enough he could become a star at the highest level. Simply put, only the backroom staff know who's better than who behind the scenes. If Vela deserves a run in the side he'll get one. If Spearing is better, so be it. TIL NEXT TIME CAPSLOCK COLIN

Would Legalising Cannabis Save The Uk Economy?
I see that Uruguay have taken the first step in nationwide legalisation of the plant. The Dutch scrapped plans to narrow sales down to only residents of the Netherlands, as crime rose massively as a result. You can also buy the stuff in several US states now, and acceptance of marijuana is gathering pace worldwide. Don't get me wrong, I can't see it ever happening in this country. People here don't like change and are terrified of the unknown. We still only vote in major numbers for two political parties, both of which disappoint. Lib Dems did the discuss the idea of legalising it when it was a Class C; not that they'll ever be in power. When it was a Class C, it's widely believed that usage went down as people didn't take it as seriously and didn't feel like they were being 'rebels'. Hell, every top professor that the government puts in charge to research drugs inevitably gets sacked for telling the truth. It's less harmful than cigarettes and alcohol, and that is fact. Let's say you can only buy it in coffeeshops like you can in Amsterdam:- * It would create thousands of jobs for people * The government could tax the shit out of it; they're making fuck all currently and spending millions on policing to attempt to eradicate it. Let's be honest, who hasn't tried it over here? No matter the men in charge do, it's widely available everywhere in the UK and always will be * Dealers would struggle to make money and perhaps actually get jobs, thus pay tax. Crime would also decrease as a result with dealer robberies etc. that go on currently * The government can control the strength, preventing super strength weed that's around these days * We would make a lot of money thanks to tourism * Less harmful than cigs and beer Yes, there's hundreds cons. Perhaps dealers would start selling more hardcore stuff to make their cash, people might become lazy, (though I doubt many more people would smoke it than those who do illegally already), some believe that it increases the chance of schizophrenia, the theory that it's a 'gateway drug'. But for most, there are very little side effects. I await your no doubt dismissive responses. TIL NEXT TIME CAPSLOCK COLIN

Reebok Renovations
Make no mistake about it, today's generation are being brought up with football on the telly everyday. They've got HD TV's, laptops, iPads, iPhones, XBox's, PS3's, Wii's etc. Their attention span isn't as good as kids twenty years ago, and they've got all the gadgets in the world to keep them occupied. It's still fucking daft that it's come to this though IMO. TIL NEXT TIME CAPSLOCK COLIN

Rodrigo
Very true, but would you have come back to us in his position? I'm not sure where Benfica play him, but he arrived from Real Madrid as a highly-regarded striker by trade, and I only ever recall him being played as a left footed right winger by Coyle. Only started a couple of times at most IIRC. I remember the rumours of him getting a surprise starting role in the cup semi against Stoke, and getting excited by the prospect. Probably all mind games at the time, but it wouldn't have been the worst decision that day. Elmander playing in the centre of midfield, having only played there once against a shit West Ham side the week before is still a baffling decision to this day. TIL NEXT TIME CAPSLOCK COLIN

Fans Forum
I fucking love Dougie. The Palace team he built got promoted; they're a club that he spent 11 years with as a player, a club he saved from relegation with a vital goal on the final day of the season, one of their all time top scorers. He is a legend at Selhurst, yet he sacked his entire Palace legacy off to come to us because he believes he's now at a bigger club with much more potential. Maybe he got a payrise, but he's clearly planning to overhaul the entire structure of the club for the better. He's had to put up with negativity/booing and can see that we've been spoilt so much in recent times with top 8 finishes, that some fans are expectant of it. The sooner fans stop looking at the past and start backing us for the future of the club the better. Above all, he seems to talk a ridiculous amount of sense. I'm almost embarrassed at the opinion of some of our fans when you compare what he has to say. Onwards and upwards! TIL NEXT TIME CAPSLOCK COLIN
