  1. Are you on a wind-up? You can't even get the simple facts right.
  2. A big part of Scholes game is goals from midfield. He didn't score for England for 27 games over a 3 year spell. And he was substituted in EVERY Euro 2004 game. Very consistent. :-s
  3. Think it's the best England team of my lifetime. Can't help thinking though that technically and fitness wise we're not quite good enough come the major tournaments. Portugal in Euro 2004 comes to mind and the friendly against Spain - we were shit - which was overshadowed my different events.
  4. Before George gets here 8-[ Twas against Millwall I think. 3rd/4th goal in a 4-0 win. Off to nigel sheppard's website to confirm.....
  5. Alan Thompson v Liverpool at Anfield. From memory I think Gunnlaugsson laid it off. Screamer from 25 yds. Keeper never saw it
  6. Least we didn't pay ??6million. :-#
  7. Also going to the Thursday (and Sunday too). Sounds like Flintoff and Pietersen doing well - touch wood. [-o< 240-4 off 46 overs is a good start. Though a truly big total rests with these two.
  8. Good shout in Fulham. Remember a 3-1 home defeat by Crewe where they outplayed us. Rodney Jack gave a candidate for "Best Individual" performance. Seem to remember he got clapped off by our fans - can't be many to have that privilege.
  9. Not forgetting that penalty against Romania at Euro 2000 which eliminated us.
  10. Know this part of the world well as my Dad lives about 30 mins drive from Gibraltar. It's worth a visit as it's a bit weird seeing a spiritual piece of the UK on the tip of Spain. Gibraltarians are very patriotic to Queen and country which you'll see all over the place. Go up the Rock via the cable car, have a wander round but there's not a great deal to see. Crossed the border on foot many times and never had a problem. Think they're most likely on the lookout for repeat smugglers. I'd recommend a day trip to Ronda if you want to see a nicer corner of the Costa Del Sol.
  11. For those interested in Celtic tonight 8-[ 3-0 up and still 35 mins left... channel 960 if you have sky digital
  12. Where can I get odds on Wigan to stay up? For someone else of course.
  13. For promoted teams to stay up, 1 or 2 established Prem teams usually have to self-destruct. Just making sure there are 3 worse teams in the league is the aim. When we stayed up 1st season, it was Leicester (having a dreadful season under Peter Taylor) and Derby (sacked a drunken Jim Smith and replaced him with Colin Todd). Ipswich were the other team relegated who previously finished 5th. This season it could be Portsmouth and I don't fancy West Brom either. Fate conspired to keep WBA up last season and Robson is a shite manager.
  14. Apparently away fans are being moved to The Shed End Upper for Premiership games and the whole Shed End for cup games when rules enforce a greater away allocation. So that ??48 is now a bargain. :^o
  15. ??48 for that away end is absolute daylight f??cking robbery.

  17. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/15233.stm You may be thinking of Tromso v Chelsea. We beat Chelsea in their following game. 1-0 Holdsworth.
  18. which other clubs has it worked for? Wigan have introduced one for this season 8-[ http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/pag...~687589,00.html They limit the numbers to 1000 - basically you receive an away ticket automatically as they have your debit/credit card details. Where it gets messy is that it sounds like non-home ST holders can join the scheme. Should they get priority over a home ST holder for games like Utd away?? I'm sure if we had a similar scheme, it would sell-out on home ST holders only.......erm possibly 8-[

  20. About 3 mins ago. 7.15pm Japan time.

  22. Chelsea all the way. They were brilliant last season despite having obvious weaknesses. Left back, midfield (don't really rate Tiago) and a goalscoring striker. They've signed this Spanish guy, look like signing Essien, signed SWP. If Crespo finds form - another procession to the title for me. Probably a procession even if he doesn't.
