Could never see that happening in England.

Why should pensioners seeing out their twilight years on the Costa Del Whatsit be entitled to vote? Nowt to do with them. They've chosen to leave, they shouldn't have a say. Probably not no. Its not just about pensioners though. Plenty of professionals working abroad all over the world e.g Dubai, America, Australia are eligible to vote by proxy. Just highlighting a possible flaw in the logic. Yes pensioners can still receive state pension abroad. On the subject of going back to Iraq - would you cos I f??cking wouldn't. I did cross my mind at the time of winning the war that 000's of asylum cases are now sorted. Not really turned out that way though has it.

You could use that argument for the thousands of expat Brits eligible to vote in our election.
