BBC1 Now
Perhaps quote the rest of the article not written by The Sun? http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-20045...4581010,00.html So it's "some" efforts..... The last sentence explains there is disproportionality. It doesn't say whether this means favourably or unfavourably. Hardly a police service on the brink of "civil war". This is part of an independent inquiry partly aimed at improving and harmonising treatment of its officers. The first stage of that is to identify all inequalities. The Sun has just made it sound like "whites are treated like sh??t cos they're white". The Sun just want to wind people up and confirm their suspicions rather than tell it as it is. For a more balanced article, read... http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/crime/sto...sp?story=593221

Let me guess - The Sun. Still stirring the working classes I see. There's possibly an element of truth but they always spin it to an extreme. Lets keep the pitchforks in the shed.

laser eye thingy
Had it done about Sept 2001 at Optimax using PRK. (www.optimax.co.uk) Cost me just over a grand. Recuperation was a bit long but the end result was perfect vision which I still have now. WN7 is right - its surprisingly not that bad having the operation. The worst thing was the smell. At the time, Optimax were saying PRK was still OK in certain cases but this may have changed since. LASIK is the newer method which has a much quicker recuperation but the surgeon has to lift the top layer of the eye and laser the cornea underneath. Not for the faint hearted. My eyesight pre-op was short-sightedness of 3.5 dioptres in both eyes.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/healthy_living...ial_index.shtml Body Mass Index Calculator. My "ideal" weight at 5'10" is 11st 3lbs. About as much chance as Sam having a gay pile on with Mike Riley, Barry Knight and John Aldridge.

When did SAM get sent off?
http://www.geocities.com/nigelsheppard/bwf...1970/page7.html It's good but it's not right. A good effort nonetheless Carlos!

Got this link yesterday. Somehow didn't seem appropriate posting it for the prefects on Rivals. Asking her to lick her lips isn't bad.

trotters
Sorry to post a serious reply but.... According to that Making Headlines book recently released, apparently the nickname Trotters relates to the following. In the late 1800's, Bolton folk were notorious for their pranks and practical jokes which was known colloquially as "trotting". Hence the Trotters.

This Time Last Year
http://stats.football.co.uk/2004/ENG/PR/tooct.html Makes interesting reading. 10 games - 8 pts - bottom 3. Just lost 6-2 to City and 1-0 at home to Birmingham. Our 11th game was the game at Spurs which in hindsight probably saved our season.
