Burton (a)
Class link up by Bod/Dion great goal, hopefully more of that to come. Fair play to them to utilise set pieces & bully us at them like many teams have done. Luckily called it a day at HT & stopped attacking otherwise we could have got a very bad hammering. Evatt got it wrong tonight but many fans wanted to rotate for physicality & to rest Dion it's just not paid off. Still a lot of players who need to gel with each other, think we'll win our next two at home comfortably but away from home we just don't stand up balls coming into the box. Not going to be too cheesed off, we've had a great month or so we're just dogwank on pigfarm pitches. JFH is the biggest shithouse in the EFL with Derek Adams isn't he? 😂. I love a good shithouse but f me he's right up there. Luckily for him they haven't got many fans so they can play like that every week but he can't take that style into a better job that's why he went back. Shit hot player though.

Definitely missed Gethin's leadership at the back like we expected

Is it worth risking Dion & Dapo? Even if they both get one or two back we'll get done on another set piece whilst risking our two best players on a dire pitch. Fleetwood, Plymouth, Stockport all over again. We smashed Sunderland 6-0 in a football match & now we're getting humbled again on a sandcastle due to set pieces that we look to neglect which is a cycle all season. Not the end of the world we weren't going to go up this season with our unpredictability but need to cut this shit out next season.

They're 3-0 up and you'd think they were losing the way the fans are & the way the atmosphere is. Getting smashed by a town that don't even like footy.

We can't go back to the keeper with the pass backs due to the pitch so putting everything out for throw ins & corners which we get bullied on most of the time. Game over with in the first 10 mins, absolutely shite considering we've put our big lads on specially for a bit more aerial ability. They're a shithouse team & weve absolutely crumbled to them at the first sign of balls into our box

Dion, Dapo & Xav real pace, energy & work rate to come on to change it if losing or even if we're winning Evatt will do his three attackers swapping to keep the energy levels up pressing high. Looking forward to seeing what Sadlier, Bod & Dempo from the off will bring to the team even if its likely going to be a shit game on a swamp. Our record is well documented that we're shit without Geth but he's definitely not worth the risk for exactly that same point if he's not 100%

Injuries
Tbf we've had a lot more games out of Lee than all of Shef Wed's fans had expected we would get... especially considering the shit state of some of L2 & L1's pitches. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious because his pressing is paramount for the front line but if he's out for the season then there's tons of options. Sadlier, Dempsey, Xav need to step up to make the position their own, we could also use Dion up top with one of Baka/JDB with Dapo in the 10 like we have done in a few games, we could potentially utilize JDB as the #10 linking play up working hard off the ball which are his main traits or Evatt can slightly tweak it to the 5-2-3 to fit in Xav, Sadlier, Dapo a bit better. I agree that Dempsey in his small game time looks to lack confidence as the no 10, his ball control receiving it in them positions looks very rusty maybe because he's been playing deeper for Gillingham this season? He gets bypassed easily as the no10 too & seems to track runners better when deeper. Hopefully just a matter of time before he shows why Champ clubs wanted him & calms down with the hesitation in his play at the moment.

Fair enough mate, still early days as he's not even started yet but you can tell why he's a highly capped international footballer off of his cameos. Don't care who Evatt puts in the team atm they're all pulling their weight! COYWM

BA-KA-YO-KO! LOVIN' LA VIDA YOKO! Big cojones to win that especially with the little busy fucker of a ref & linesman. Bale Jr & Captain America were fucking immense by far our two best players. The first half was relentlessly open & we were fucking knackered especially our centre mids but we have a great bench now with real options. John Dadi has impressed me everytime he's come on, never gives the ball away & links up superbly but fans are going to judge him on goals so hopefully he can start getting a few soon. Santos & Traff turned into the chuckle brothers near the end but thankfully didn't cost us. Well done to every single one of them, proper ballsy performance against 12 men away from home.
- Wigan - Proper tinpot

Clash of the Shite 'Uns...
Jason Lowe & Tom Thorpe straight cut from the cloth of doing absolutely fuck all in midfield

Charlton (H)
Proper shithouse effort from Charlton that. Taking turns in kicking ths piss out of Dion when he forced them into mistakes repeatedly, subbing off one of the dirty fuckers for another one to do the exact same. Then the long throw after long throw which was like playing Cheltenham from last season. Give them credit though they made it a very tough match with the gameplan they had & nearly got rewarded for it. Another good three points, another game on our unbeaten run chalked off. Midfield looked a bit non existant today & we didn't have much zip about us but great to see us being able to be dogged enough to get the win a bit like last season. Dion was fucking superb, MJ had a great first half but tired, Morley's set pieces were absolute peaches all game begging for somebody to get a touch, great glancing header from Aimson who I'm not going to lie was worrying the shit out of me seeing him attempting to dribble out of defence time after time. Thought Bod looked class when he came on just a shame he didn't stick that curler in the top bin!

Charlton (H)
Some proper tackles flying in from MJ Gattuso, Morley getting overrun in there though. I know they haven't created much but they look alright at finding pockets in dangerous positions.

Charlton (H)
Both teams have very strong benches tbf. Charltons bench... Aneke, Fraser, Leko, Lee, Lavelle surprised most of them aren't in the Charlton XI.

Afolayan article
Hopefully Kev Nolan can send another gem our way!

James Trafford
He did flap at it but the ball completely changed direction & took him for surprise. Like many I didn't think a 19 year old could come into a defence that were leaking goals for fun & steady the ship (The change of shape, overall better players signed, more depth, return of Geth have obviously been key factors) but Traff has certainly been a big part of it too. Hopefully he keeps it up & we get him for next season too but knowing City they'll want him to step up to the championship next season if all goes well for him here.

Morecambe (A)
Everything was fucking against us, fuck knows how we got out of that shitheap of a ground with a point in them conditions with the ref playing midfield for them. Beautiful karma that Baka shut the fuckers up. Unbeaten run still intact, move forward in the table. That'll do donkey!

FV and IE
Get Phil Brown in until the end of the season! then get David Lee in until January next season! then get Kevin Nolan in! then get Mick McCarthy in! Then get Warnock in! Thank f*ck FV didn't listen to some of the fans & gave Evatt the transfer windows to start bulding the team into what his vision is for the club. Bringing in Markham was the cherry on top, he obviosly knows what he's doing & is working incredibly alongside Evatt. We're setting ourselves up for a great future at this rate, we've already developed assets like Dapo & Rico. Brought in youngish sought after players like Dion, Dempsey, Morley, Johnston who could be worth a lot of money in a few seasons... if they've not already got us up. The club have secured all good long term contracts for mostly everybody if we do have to sell, we'll pick up the next new bunch who could even be better with our recruitment model whilst being sustainable & playing a good brand of football. Evatt & the owners trust each other along with the fans, everybody's on board. Obviously going to be some downs on this football rollercoaster but for the most part I think we're only on our way in one direction & that's rising again COYWM

Cambridge (H)
Cambridge are decent away aswell, they shocked the toon at St James's & stuffed Cheltenham 5-0 away in the past few weeks so last night was very comfortable in how we dealt with them for the most part in the grand scemes of things. I thought we'd struggle at breaking them down but we cut through them with ease at times, the tempo of our passing has improved ten fold!

Cambridge (H)
I think with the amount of great scandinavian legends & cult heroes we've had at our club the clap is fine if done properly!
-
Cambridge (H)
The football is super sexy, our wing backs have been our biggest threat which shows how well the tactic is serving us. Not been clinical but its great to see how many clear cut chances we've created. Fossey, John & Morley have been the pick of the bunch for me first half

Cambridge (H)
XI for tonight. Crellin, Hickman, Greenidge, Delaney, Taft, Gordon, White, Comley, Crawford, Delfouneso, Miller. COYWM

Mad to think start of the month we had Johnston-Thomason-Delfouneso as our midfield 3 away at top of the league Rotherham so the more options the merrier

Sunderland (H)
What the fook do the bookies know! WHAT A PERFORMANCE! Absolute party time! Think we'll have a squad to have a right go next season, the signs are unbelievable atm

Sadlier has scored quite a few goals with his head when arriving in the box so that's also a bonus. He was pure class at Donny picking the ball up in the pocket driving at defenders & scoring from range. Not really worried about where everybody's going to fit in, its a heavy schedule & we're going to need everybody to play a part when called up on especially when we tend to get a lot of injury crisis. If we get one more in too (Dempsey) who's more of a box to box, it's been a fantastic window & we'll have ended up with some real depth with the quality to match.
