I must admit, I thought Evatt was going to be signing another Billy Crellin, an experienced kid that will probably ship a load of goals in for us, how wrong was I.

Early days, but this lad looks class! Does anyone know what his contract situation is at City?

Anyway, he'll play for England one day.😎

Faultless today… a top top quality performance and in brutal conditions.

Contract up next summer.
He’s highly rated there, only signed a pro deal two years ago

Hes probably the 4th choice at city who’s number one is the best keeper in the world.

I suspect he’ll sign an extension there and go back out on loan.
City rarely sell their youth talent nowadays

It’s patently obvious City have the best set up for developing talent along with Chelsea. Scousers not far behind. Keep him signed up, keep loaning him out, then cash in at the right time. Just hope if we end up fairly well-placed this season that City will let us have him next season to increase his value even more

Doubt we'll get him on a permanent, happily have him on loan for a couple seasons. He suits us and we suit him.

City have stopped loaning players to clubs who don’t have the same footballing philosophies as them.

Pointless loaning a player to a club who keep the ball in the air as much as possible to then go back to City and not know how to pass a ball.

Seeing as our gaffer is b-tech Pep, maybe they will let us have him.

I keep saying it, but he is NINETEEN years old, the kid has a very very bright future. He is a great keeper already, but he will probably make some mistakes as he develops , but let's Hooe we can secure him either permanently or on a long term loan

I know for a fact Wanderers now have a working relationship with City

When Pep has enough experience, is he coming to us then?😁

In fucking one... We know how IE wants to play, and I'll back him to the teeth in it. I only hope it is cascading down through the academy

Well there was a city academy big wig at the game on Tuesday with a GK coach 👀

I like him, but he has only made a handful of saves and not really been tested (as IE said)

Without seeing the replay, was there much he could have done about the goal?

The best goalkeepers don't have to make many saves as they help to organise the whole back line,  but when they are tested they come up with the goods. The improvement in our defence and Traffords introduction is not a coincidence  in my opinion. He is young and he will make some mistakes but his is clearly and upgrade on what we have had recently

Don’t wanna be THAT guy to criticise him because he’s done a splendid job so far, but…was he not to blame for the penalty? Blatant fumble into the path of their man?

He saved it, so...

He did flap at it but the ball completely changed direction & took him for surprise. Like many I didn't think a 19 year old could come into a defence that were leaking goals for fun & steady the ship (The change of shape, overall better players signed, more depth, return of Geth have obviously been key factors) but Traff has certainly been a big part of it too. Hopefully he keeps it up & we get him for next season too but knowing City they'll want him to step up to the championship next season if all goes well for him here.

Then don't be THAT guy....... Simples

He’s been superb so far.

Think the ref gets the blame on the penalty.

His handling yesterday overall was very good. He claimed a few corners and the long range efforts they had he dealt with.

Would like to see the disallowed goal again because he didn't look convincing on that but I was too far away to see clearly.

Thought he did very well in the conditions.  Had more to do yesterday in the other 4 combined. Think we can safely say he not another Crellin, he will be tested more than he has so far but he has already contributed to our rise up the table simply by replacing t'other mon

He's been in City's academy since age 12, he wouldn't still be there if they didn't think he could develop into one of the best in the world.
