“When you are winning 2-1, maybe it would be better to shut up shop." Or maybe Zat, it'd be better to try and keep a bloody clean sheet for once....

Chancellor of the Exchequer? Always the optimist in interviews while his decisions leave shit falling to pieces around him?
-
I haven't heard his post match interview but I just hope he's not doing his usual looking for positives to take from the game routine. He needs to start tearing some people new ones straight away and get into a winning mentality straight away and if he's too nice a guy to give these players that hard time then I hope he'd have the decency to step aside.
-
I was going to ask if he'd had a testimonial... I wouldn't begrudge him it. 14 years service is amazing these days.

Coyle's whole glass half full, see the positives even in losses attitude doesn't sit right with me. We need someone who'll tear them a new hole after some of the dross performances. Who that is I don't know but I think a change is needed. Someone to have the chance to work with the lads in the championship and get a team spirit built, ready for getting straight back up for the 2013-14 season. I wouldn't say no to Poyet.

Gradually for me but it's the number of times we'd played OK first half and then a totally different team comes out for the second half. Half time is one of the real opportunities for a manager to earn his crust... Adapt your tactics, motivate the players and fire 'em up. The number of times that the half time team talk has made us significantly worse was the big pointer for me. That and dropping Fab.

I really hope they let Fab watch a little bit of Match Of The Day this morning. Fair gave me a lump in my throat last night. Even more proud to be a Trotter after their performance on and off the field yesterday. KEEP THAT UP you guys and we haven't got a thing to worry about. I bet your making Fab proud because you certainly made me proud yesterday.

Shows what I know. There's a tenner I'll never see again...

Ever the optimist, I'm going for a dull and dirty 0-0. I'd be over the moon with that as a result as well. And I'm off to Ladbrokes to put my money where my mouth is.

It's the only thing keeping me going..

John McGinlay?

What about a first democratic club managed by the fans? We could vote for team selection during the week on the website and do substitutions via a premium rate phone number. First substitution suggestion to reach 100 votes gets made. We could take it in turns to take training sessions each week too.

One of those days when we get every bit of luck and everything goes our way. 0-4. 2 for N'Gog and 2 midfield belters.

It was always going to be a difficult, if not impossible start to the season with these fixtures but there's been the odd glimmer (the City match?) of hope even against some of the world's best players. In my opinion, the season starts in earnest on 15th October. We've got enough quality to see it through with some hard work and I still think Coyle is the man to manage us through it. Keeping the faith we'll be top ten by New Year. COYWM.

Nat Lofthouse OBE - RIP
gobenji replied to whiteyboy's topic in Nat Lofthouse O.B.E BWFC & England Book of Condolences
A man who's standards and principles every professional footballer would do well to follow. A true one-off who loved his club and will be sorely missed. -

Who's to take Jay Jay's place on the logo at the top of the page? I'd say Nolan but which poster boy would the ladies like to see?

I think you can do it with iTunes (free download for Windows from www.apple.com/itunes) .. Pull the m4a tunes into iTunes, select them then choose Advanced.. convert to MP3.. I think you can anyway. You can on a Mac anyway
