  • If anyone knows these guys then round of applause from me. Club sustained by our own supporters.

I couldn’t care less, I’m happy it’s a Bolton company and they’re ploughing money into us, I respect everything they’re doing for us.

  • Toughsheet was trending on Twitter yesterday. Job done. Club gets a cash injection, Jeff Stelling makes a thin joke every week to keep the sponsors happy and we all call it the Reebok like w

What happened to the shirt and stadium deals being connected? And why hire a marketing company to help with the naming rights to end up with a company 5 miles down the road.

Hopefully by the time this deal ends we’re not reliant on sponsorship money and bin the naming rights off for good.

We have this inate need to bring laughter to our own door. Sometimes the amount of money offered just isn’t worth it. This feels like one of those

No matter how much money we have (in the future) the naming rights will always be up for grabs. Anybody who thinks any different needs their bumps feeling.

While i think youre right, wonder why sime prem grounds are sponsored and others arent

I mean, the glazers dont give a fuck, why not sell theirs off

Is it cos it just wont get used

Why isnt spurs carrying the name of a spnsor...or maybe it is and proves the point

They have bed mattress partners and whisky partners per region. I suspect this takes the pressure off. Also I think it’s accepted as a given to help fund a new ground but very different to mess with history etc in terms of ground names.

Id of been pissed off if we’d changed Burnden but changing Reebok (a sponsor) with another doesn’t seem that big to me.

Spurs had every intent initially. Don’t think what they were offered has met their valuation though. Typical Levy

Whereas United don’t really need the revenue. They’re competitive enough without upsetting some parts of tradition.

it’s each to their own really and for some forms an important revenue stream but there’s a balance to it. These guys could’ve blown the rest out of the water with what they were offering. But for me it’s a similar situation to the QuickQuid fiasco. Sometimes you just think “I can’t be arsed with the aggro of that no matter what they’re offering”

Somebody has pointed out to them the tough shit thing

They really havent missed it

Tell me they havent

I dont give a fuck but it does have the feel of a midweek SB statement incoming

Not saying a cancellation or owt,but some sort of smoothing some choppy waters

It's just a name, that won't get used. Deal says five years so NeilHartCEO has sold it well.

It'll be reet. And they can call it what they want, it will still be the 'Bok. Just so long as it's not got red seats.

The BN is reporting it will be named the TS Community stadium, although the club's official communication suggests otherwise

I'm not sure which was printed first

Going to the known as the TS community stadium apparently

The company get very little from it being TS

On another note my lad has been seeing the fellas daughter for a while so a box will be a good thing to come out of it at least 🤣

If they are a Bolton company it won't have gone unnoticed. I'm not having it that a couple of their fitters on a piss up haven't laughed their  bollocks off over that name.

I didnt mean tough sheet

I mean the club

I'm a huge admirer of FV but I wish someone would let them know no one gives a fuck about sponsors being local

Doesn’t sound great, but they’ve probably already got their money’s worth with the publicity today. A reputable, local firm sits well with the philosophy of the club compared to a bookie, brewery or money lender so all good really.

I don't doubt that Neil and his team will have properly thought this through business wise and I get the local Bolton side of things.

But from what I've read, they don't appear to be a big company, SME with just 80 employees. Compared to Macron and obviously Reebok they're leagues a part.

All I'm saying is for what's supposed to be a  "record sponsorship deal" just seems massively underwhelming. I just hope financially it's benefiting us as much as the deal is benefiting them.

Anyway I do trust the board, but with this one yeah the name is dreadful but if it benefits the club I'm all for it until we can get something better in the Championship

Ah, fair enough. Like you then I eagerly await Sharon's midweek statement.

"Fuck me lads, I didn't realise. I feel a right twat now. I'll get on to 'em. Hope the lads at Wonga haven't spent up yet"

The paragraph at the bottom of this article makes it pretty clear they're aware

If this deal is financially as good as they've been building it up to be then it's tough sheet for all of our competitors because the trajectory of the club is already a very positive one.

Offical name The TS Stadium, no problem.
