Had some fucking brilliant times in there after the match, with Big Sam's fat head on a 10 foot tall screen behind the bar doing his post-match interview.

Is that when you come out the cinema? 😆

Luca Connell speaks to the Barnsley faithful....

Our Young Player of the Season for 22/23 spoke ahead of Saturday's trip to Bolton in the Play-Off semi final first leg.

ON HIS TIME AT BOLTON

“I was there from the age of 7, so I have to thank them for everything they taught me there, that has helped me get to where I am today.

“I think I was 17 when I made my debut there, so I have to thank the gaffer at that time for trusting me to play at such a young age at that level.

“It wasn’t nice leaving when I did but it was a big move for me, going to Celtic, and the cash for the club was a big factor too. It didn’t work out for me at that time, but I don’t regret it.”

THE TASK THIS SATURDAY

“They’re obviously a good club, good team and we know they’re going to be a big challenge for us. But we’re preparing well for the best version of them.

“We’ll be going there on Saturday to win. There might be this idea that you stay in the game and you have the second leg to come. But for us it’s about winning both games.”

NOT LOOKING TOO FAR AHEAD

“Our focus is on Saturday really. Whilst the opportunity to play at Wembley, the chance of promotion is what we all dream about, we know that we can only affect what is right in front of us.

“It’s going to be exciting. These are the games - the high-pressure, high-tariff games - that you want to play in.

“I know the fans will be right behind us and hopefully we can go there and make the ideal start in the play-offs.”

SOLE FOCUS

“It’s good that Bolton are back up and running, back on sound footing after some difficult times, particularly for the people I know who are still there.

“But it’s all about us. It’s us versus them. I only care about Barnsley and about ending this season in the best possible fashion.”

Yes. Back in the good old days when it was Warner Brothers.

Ive already given up any hope of getting in the hotel. Harvesters still going strong on a matchday?

You won’t regret giving NamPloy a go. Table service, decent (but a bit expensive) food.

in Michael Duff's interview with the Barnsley press he was ambiguous about Mads Andersen's fitness and said he hadn't yet trained with the squad and may not play on Saturday. Whether or not this is a bluff I can't tell, but it's potentially good news for us as they've been shit at the back without him.

£350k training compensation

Big fucking wow. Shithouse cunt sold us down the river.

Can manage unless we get another injury to the back line

Connell beef for others to get excited about. He tried to stiff along with Celtic. If the shoe of had been on the other foot then I’d want us to do the same.
That said it wasn’t so no love lost on this.
