Glad our footy season is over roll call...

Anyone else relieved and glad its all over for a bit?

Felt proper drained with it all towards the end. Constantly planning and think of how to get to games and financial pressure.

Happy with a few months off

No football is rubbish. I have no other hobbies. This summer is now geared up to going to every pub in Bolton I haven’t been to yet and become a 100%er.

plenty of days at the races for us & a couple of holidays

Might be an age thing but I think a season zips by very quickly, more so with the number of always I’ve been doing the last few years.

That would have been ticked off in the "experimental" youth phase.

Cricket season innit. Thankfully.

Not been there so it’s on the list😂 I’d be more worried if I didn’t have to go!

More than you think mate. Looking forward most to the little john at the mo.

Think your mistaking me with @Sweep I’ve been in loads and pretending I haven’t so I can go again.

The Little John is a proper shithole, not as bad as the Morris Dancers, but not far off. I do like a shithole pub, just to visit mind. My old favourite in years gone by was the General Havelock, which I presume no longer exists

Did some work at Bolton plastics before going to Uni.

Little John was always a decent pint after the shift. Not been since- 30 odd years.

General havelock went about 10 years ago mate. Can’t do HQ as I’ve been lucky enough to go plenty of times. I’m looking forward to going to LJ as well as plenty more.

What about the Butchers?

Think it had another name before

Gone!! Used to be The Victory, probably the biggest of the C-O-R pubs.

Completely changed COR from when I was growing up there near Ivy Road junction. Watched us beat Germany 5-1 in Kings Arms, think its a dessert place now!

Depressing that :(

Mind you last time I was in there it was 9am and still open from the night before. Some lass was E'd off her face just dancing with her earphones on in corner.

Glad this season is over.

Last couple of months just seemed to be an endless stream of expensive days out and I've not done any aways, Wembley aside.

Fucking dear do this having a family lark.

4 games all season for many reasons. Supershitfan status. Ticket network sorted now so next season should be a lot better

My Aunt was the owner and landlady of the Little John from the early 70s to the mid 90s I would guess. Always very basic inside but she knew how to keep a decent pint. Did more business at lunchtimes and match days than in the evening I think, Darts teams aside.   Before that she had the Rothwell St Tavern near Derby Street.  Long gone (the Tavern and Aunt).

Back on topic.  I was ready for a rest last week, but I'm already bored of no football.
