So it will be £50 plus £140 to watch the games via an app replacing the iFollow broadcast?

I know Micky. In a previous post I asked if the lad had stolen anything from the club and had he then passed it on ?

I didn’t know then, and I still don’t know if an offence had been committed.

Would be a fairly textbook case of sharing copyrighted content without permission, I’d have thought.

I think that’s what my post probably alluded to. If Bolton are making money out of showing games then I’d say they probably look with disdain at those who cut them out of their income stream; even if not trying to make money themselves.

It wouldn’t necessarily be due to the club missing out on money or more that they’d be worried about the EFL chasing them given the value of TV rights. See stuff being pulled down on Twitter all the time.

As a result, the club would like to provide some clarity on what it means for Wanderers TV. 

For supporters based in the UK and Ireland, Wanderers TV will no longer be able to provide live video streaming services to anyone based domestically – for any fixture. 

For Wanderers fans located internationally, live streaming will continue as per the 2023/24 season. This means that there will be seasonal, monthly and game-by-game availability for supporters around the globe to back the boys for every game. 

This was put in operation from 1^st July 2024, with packages now available for the upcoming season for both streaming products and Wanderers TV packages, for supporters outside the UK.

Probably reading too much into it, but I've noticed since Schumacher's appointment the 'Inside Matchday' videos no longer have footage in the tunnel at half time. Along with moving back to the proper Home bench, it seems there have been a few subtle changes to ensure there are ZERO distractions for the players during the game.

Through most of Evatt's reign - supposedly so he was closer to the linesman on that side of the pitch and could get in his ear. Something like that anyway.

Me too. There is pre-kick-off tunnel footage in the latest Inside Matchday. 🤦‍♂️

Generally, yes, so that the players and referees are in the habit of which way to look. You can make a request to switch sides on a one off basis if, for example, the usual touchline is waterlogged but the other one is fine, but it needs approval from all of the officials and both managers if memory serves me right.

Just had a quick google, and can't find a definitive answer. Some speculation that it's the referee's decision, but the most plausible answer I can find is that it's because most linesmen naturally carry the flag in their right hand, and through experience the referee always knows to look to his right for offside decisions.

I remember a match at Burnden when the linesman was getting a dog loads of abuse from the Burnden Paddock. In the second half he was moved over to the Manny rd side. Affectively both linos were on the left of the ref.

Probably contributed to him getting so worked up and so many yellow cards.

That Derek bloke needs to up his game... I was listening to commentary only and he was only just better than useless... obviously talking over a video feed rather than painting a picture with words... long periods of silence but I could hear other commentators rattling away in the background.... and I don't need to hear who's listening in Canada or whose flipping birthday it is, just tell me who's on the ball please.

I have no idea what was happening mid field because that is when he goes into silent mode.

Mandela effect for me . I am convinced that linesmen never switched sides, so if you had a bad un in one half , he was gonna be a bad un for the other team in the second half and vice versa.
