Not googled. I assume it was related to either coolness or freshness?

Always thought it was freshness. Don’t they only do half’s in cologne anyway?

Halves and then half of that is fucking froth! So in effect, you’re drinking quarter pints…

still gets you pissed though!

The French House in Soho only sells halfs because French sailors in the 1920s started smashing pints over each other's heads, so the landlord decreed only half sizes should be serves. The only day there serve pints is 1st April, not sure why - I'm sure there's some reason.

If you are in the area, its worth a trip in the historic little pub.

No argument from me. Never touch the stuff. The one we get in Oz is brewed in the Philippines. That's shite too.

The last bar I had it in is straight across from Koln cathedral and railway station. They came around with a wooden tray with blind holes in it filled with what resembled test tubes full of Kolsch. One of the blokes I was with disappeared after we had sampled quite a few. We found him outside at the front, fast asleep beside the bike rack.

Dangerous as well, the locals seemed to sit round one all night where we just continued to have it flowing and topping up. Some serious drinkers in our party who couldn't take hair of the dog till around 6 the next day.

Seconded. I went out with my missus a couple of years back, had a little session in one of the beer halls supping these silly oversized shot glasses of fizz. "Haha, it's like drinking shandy", we ignorantly quipped, as we invited the gigantic waiter / thimble delivery guy to keep swapping our glasses and marking our beer mats (an honesty based system that wouldn't work in the UK!!)

Wham - both battered, both absolutely steaming next day. Underestimate it at your peril.

No defo aroused😂 yes it’s fair to say I meant ruse

I was at the feria in San Pedro de Alcantara last night. Beer of the week - Alhambra! I thought of you whilst sampling a few. Very nice too.

As an aside, that feria was amazing. Must have been able to see that fucker from the moon. Glad it's not me getting the leccy bill!

Not jealous at all but having a nice Asahi in London now helps this 😂

Was in Morrisons earlier. For all you lager drinkers they’ve got a case of Leffes (12 x 330ml bottles) for £14.00

Seems a decent price

No wonder there's no-one in. Bet it's not 5.70 a pint.

I was at the Harrogate Conference Centre a couple of weekends ago. Bars sold local bottled beers only at £5 for a 330ml bottle. That equates to about £9/pint.

Fucking robbing bastards!

Has anyone who likes Guinness tried the cans and Guinness surger?

very good in my opinion, not quite like proper good draught Guinness but close enough and better than a lot places I’ve had it .
certainly better than draught cans of the stuff and worth it if you drink Guinness at home a lot
