February 21, 20251 yr £4.05 for a paltry Carling in my local now. £4.40 in the Golden Eagle. Go premium and you're well over a fiver. I'll never not love a pint in a pub but genuinely couldn't do it like these lads in vans do every late afternoon. It's an expensive hobby. It must be pricing folk out now. Costs me £30 to sit in a pub on my own for a couple of hours. Can get 30 cans for that or pay for a month's gym fee.

February 21, 20251 yr That Neck Oil is the most horrible beer I've ever tried. Nice glass though, so i kept that, still got it.

I'll see you later Funnily enough they are in right old wrangle with the council. They were issued a compulsory purchase order for the new multiversity thing in town. W3 have found new premises but the council won't grant them a licence for where it is. So now they're refusing to move.

February 21, 20251 yr Most these so called "premium" beers are brewed in the U.K. anyway. Moretti (Manchester), Stella, Becks & Corona (South Wales), Madri (Yorkshire). They're shite. Give me a pint of real ale any day. At least you know what you're getting. And a Belgian beer always goes down well. Edited February 21, 20251 yr by wackerchackers

The couple can and does extend to three or four, but at £4+ a go for an hour on my own it's hard to justify to Mrs. F. I still don't fancy cans though, and the gym even less.
