  • I really wouldn't care if we'd knocked a hatful of goals in against the DMB great grandmothers. It's a big win against the filth that will cause some discomfort somewhere in that rancid organisation.

I’d just like him to get a chance whilst it’s there. I’m just a sentimental old sod. 😉

Last time we scored 8?

And it's 8!

Matheson!

Kids are doing great!

Should sell him. Take the 4 mil and move on 😀

Are the new scoreboards big enough for double figures?

😄

And there’s another, brilliant.

I hope we’re saving a few for Vale on Saturday? 🤔

No - that's me. I'd like to see him because of the good reports I've heard - only actually seen him in highlights TBH.

Matheson loves scoring against Utd

Aye, wouldn't shift arguably our best player so far.

I thought on Saturday Matheson RWB and Cogley RCB rather than John as a short term fix under the circumstances.

Tis a fair point. He's been a 7/10r every week

That’ll do nicely boys.

turned off at HT for the ryder cup build up, training match, boring

giz a shout when we're at wembley

Great result. And great to see the kids....

Khumbeni - has good sense, touch and can finish - maybe lacks a bit of pace

Matheson - good enough now IMO

Inwood = solid, decent left peg, can tackle but also may lack a bit of pace

Not at all bad.

Not sure what you can really take from that but I though khumbeni looked alright when he came on. Great finish and looked decent with ball and very energetic. Be surprised with the injuries and suspensions if he don't get minutes off the bench soon in the league.

Anyway. As  @radcliffe white   pointed out, this means very little if we don’t follow it up Saturday.

One of the pleasing aspects of our run last year is that these games were often followed by league wins and often kick started a good spell.

As I said pre-match these games are great for getting some combinations together. Tonight that back 3 have had a chance to get some game together which is important for Saturday.

The following observations are tempered by the fact it was against United’s kids.  But nevertheless Pleasing to see:

- Sheehan being a class act

- Bod get a goal before he went off

- Dan bag a brace

- Some Young  B team lads getting a run out and Khumbeni and Matheson getting a goal

- Morley grow into the game

- Jones being lively and effective as a RWB

The only negative for me was the left hand side. Iredale can play a lovely pass but I’m frightened to death when a forward turns and runs at him. Williams blows hot and cold too much.

But finishing with a positive always nice to see a side in that red vermin kit concede goals, 8 of them as well 🤣, even better when it’s the white shirts of BWFC who have done it
