Thomason will need to control himself in such a big game.

He's done well recently in that regard, but this is another big one, and away.

last game this before the the cut off point for yellow cards

Iredale and Paris need to avoid getting booked

Ex Prem ref Madley doing this one.

Genuinely see this as a no lose tomorrow. Lose we still 2nd. Win we haven’t won the league.

No disaster in any outcome though I do fancy us to sneak it.

I hope the players don’t go in with that attitude. We don’t want to be still second we want to win, not just for the points but to set a marker and also to prove to our players we’re the best in L1. We slipped up at Oxford we can’t afford to do it again tomorrow. Definite six pointer this one never mind a “no lose” game. 1-2 to the Whites.

The players will go in with the right attitude.

However, it isn't the end of the world is we don't succeed.

We could have lost at Oxford, as readily as we could have won, so a point wasn't a bad result.

Both teams wouldn’t be too disappointed with a draw I guess.

1-1.

Listening to the football today, they explained that Newcastle fans have had their trains cancelled because of overhead power cable damage by the storms.

Not sure if any of our lot are travelling down from that side tomorrow, but it may be well to check that things are working.

Don’t think we slipped up at Oxford and I’ll not over panic if we lose tomorrow. Each to their own. The 6 pointer is out early this season.

We lose and win our game in hand on them we are 3 behind them. Will be great to win and I agree we can just feels like a bit of a free hit for me.

Still got a feeling that there may be a bit of a rejigging, maybe in midfield, maybe up top.

Youve more patience than me

Id say we are prob closely matched, we are away, its a night game which imo makes for a better atmosphere and bits of luck could be the difference

We have bought ourselves a bit of breathing space, which is fucking amazing as we have to win every game @Zog1

Win would be massive, but i think they need it more than us

We’re winning this.

While i would be amazed

I think he keeps JDB back as the second wave

Dempsey was stand out v PV, but seriously how/why would he change it

He would, imo, be wide open to why change a winning team

Pompey could be this year's Plymouth.

Keep getting results, even after the odd hiccup.

I'm not sure they "need it more than us" as we both have the same goal.

If they were to win it, they could easily go on another long unbeaten run.

A win for us would represent another improvement against top teams, having beaten Wycombe for example at their place.

A draw keeps our unbeaten run going too, and would be decent.

He probably won't change it, but I've just got a feeling he might.

I could see Dempsey coming in, with Thomason, and one of Maghoma/Sheehan for example.

Just reading between the lines after reading his comments in the BN about having a largely fit squad.

Quite a few Pompey saying they've now got the best midfield they've had in memory so it will be a battleground, but if they stick with a back 4 we might have a numerical edge if our lads put the yards in. Tactics and selection are going to be very important in this one.

I have to be honest, I'm not as relaxed as others at the thought of us getting beat

I'd still expect Pompey to be up there come the end of the season so we should at least be hoping to stop them winning all three points

It's a six pointer for me

And all this talk of making changes is giving me Rob Hall starting on the final day vibes

still believe we're a better team with Dempsey in, can see him playing tomorrow

Me too, if only for extra bite. If their midfield is strong, we need to be able to combat it.

It would hardly be to the detriment if Bod or Dempsey came in. A tactical adjustment, like putting DC at left wing back for a specific game.

It's probably just nervousness on my part

It would have to be GT out for Dempsey for me
