They'll know tomorrow if it's definitely NOT going to defrost in time.

If unsure, then hopefully the Saturday one will be early enough to prevent folk travelling unnecessarily.

It was -7 down here on the school run this morning. It’s currently at zero and will drop to -3 overnight. It’s forecast to be below zero again overnight Friday / Saturday.

I hope it gets sun on the pitch, as it’s a sunny day tomorrow. If not, that’s a lot of thawing to do when the temps aren’t going to get that high tomorrow in the shade.

Aye.

At this point, I reckon Marc is right.

Just hope some other teams around us get their games off.

Probably end up with a water logged pitch from the defrost

Haha.

There may be burst pipes around too when things defrost!

Went to the takeaway for tea and Klopp was serving- he told me the same thing.

In that case its definitely on.

Im hanging on the word precautionary

Suggests nowt serious atm

Thing its more likely to get pulled on saturday morning when wheels are rolling

It’s unusual for a precautionary inspection the day before at this level.

Hope you’re right though because unless it’s called off at say 7AM Sat we’ll all be on our way.

There will be better times to play them, given their recent form but our fixture backlog would then be an even bigger concern.

Reads like bolton have asked for a check before team leave

The worry is theyve announced it

No need is there?

Course there's every need

Whether it be fans or the players

They're saying there's a doubt

Would you prefer then to tell you it's off on Friday tea time or twelve on Saturday?

2pm saturday works for me

Seriously, for many tomorrow afternoon is better, but i dunno where ive said otherwise

I was explaining that i thought precautionary suggests its thought things are ok, but announcing theyre looking suggests its not

Edit...the no need was regarding announcing it, not the doing it

Trains are non refundable gamble with advance singles I guess

Hope for the trains to be cancelled  🙂

If it's likely to be off, i'd rather they called it Friday afternoon, any Saturday postponement will be too late for me with an early start, i'll already be on my way.

If the Tories had anything to do with installing them then yes...

They should be installed sufficiently deep beyond the freeze zone and surrounded in non-frost susceptible stone 👍

Going down Friday regardless avoid the two hundred thousand that go down every Saturday for the pro Palestinian rallies

Orient is a London club.

Not much chance of Tory involvement there.

Wow, can't even have a thread about a game against a mid table team without politics sneaking in.

Updated forecast today is slightly better. Stays above freezing from 11am today until the match

5 days of cold weather, if Orient can't get this on they're a shambles.

It's 4C there today and 6C tomorrow according to BBC. Surely it has to be on... If not I'm starting to get worried about fixture pile up. Not enough to throw the cup match v Blackpool as some seem to be suggesting, but makes me think we need recruits just for numbers.
