Yes I did,but I'm far too much of a gentleman to point out a chaps shortcomings.

Had you noticed my original joke on this?

Yes next year according to this, Sky have bought the rights to show 1,059 of 1,891 EFL games.  Includes loads of L1 and L2 so not getting promoted won't protect us from it a lot.  Most folk won't realise the impact yet but after a year or 2 of it, EFL fans are going to think twice before shelling out for S/Ts at grounds that don't sell out, where you can just pick and choose when to go.  But then the habit is broken and the picking & choosing becomes too much effort for some.

I meant to attach a link, probably been covered before but here it is

Not sure if it's the general pace of life but there certainly seems to be a big malaise around our night games at home.

Just over 10k actually through the door last night and it's not been much higher all season.

Has everyone just gone soft?

It's a fucking trail innit? Burnden would have had double.

Pain in the arse are night games, usually home around 11ish, up at 5.30 so knackered by the time I do get to sleep.

Not missing home games because of it though. Away games, generally speaking can gtf but I usually do 1 mid week longhaul a season and stay over. Shame it was the midweek swim in Cambridge this season

Thanks for sorted my lad out on Tuesday 👍🏻

1891 games?

Surely there are only 1656?
3 leagues of 12 matches, 46 times a season...

I've not done the calc's but the 1,891 includes 93 Carabao Cup, 127 EFL Trophy and the play offs.

Whatever the numbers, it adds up to too much football on TV!

Sorry but that’s just an absolute myth. Other than being ‘town centre’ (where nobody lives), the parking and traffic would be miles worse than what we currently have with thousands of parking spaces and right next to a motorway junction.

If nothing else, how many 12k-14k midweek gates did we get in anything up to the final 15 years of Burnden?

I reckon for every fan lost by not being in Bolton we've probably gained by not being in Bolton.

You'd think after nearly 30 years folk would've gotten used to us playing in Horwich.

Just for clarity,  is an incorrect spelling mistake actually a word spelled correctly?

id probably get to burnden and back quicker than reebok but if im driving, its not an issue

i do find myself in northern monkey pre match and yearn for a stroll to burnden rather than it being 45 minutes away

I used to walk to Burnden via the Cattle Market. If we were at Burnden now I'd probably go from the Monkey too.

Do people actually live in Bolton ? I don’t think I know many who do. Most are bury, Manchester, Wigan etc

Obviously I only watch home games when I'm back but it massively helps my sister lives on the estate opposite the ground. Go there for a post match beer and then up the road to my folks.

I'd park on that estate rather than  on middlebrook- although the locals can get a bit annoyed, although there are always spaces.

Sorry but you are wrong. Under the current ownership and the way we are going it would have been double.

I enjoy a night game once I'm there but the sheer number of them this season has been a challenge. I have to rearrange or cancel coaching that I do on a Tuesday, something I don't really like doing so will only usually do the league games unless it's a really juicy cup tie. Have ended up missing an odd night league game as my athletes have been at important stages of their seasons and I didn't want them missing vital work while I'm sat at the football.

Commute has been a ball ache for a few years, for similar reasons to Ani's, never ending works to create a by-pass near Poulton plus the three year job to make a junction on the M55, constant closures and detours meaning regularly landing home past 11, sometimes to be up again at 6.30 to be out to work

A lot of ST holders bring kids, which is great, but totally get why they might not come midweek if those kids are younger. Some ST's (fair play to them, plenty on here no doubt) cough up for one but live many miles away so just do the weekends. The small row I sit on in West Upper a good example, a lady who brings a lad of about 6 and a couple who come from Devon.

FWIW I wouldn't stop having my ST, as long as I only miss 2-3 league games a season it's still value. If I stopped I wouldn't keep finding the money for match day prices.

Sorry I go there - not saying everyone should pile round to my sisters post match, plus her husband is Liverpool.

You saying cars are not safe on there ?
