Clocks go forward this weekend - something to do with that?

Blimey I think I'll assume 1pm to cover all possibilities.  Or set off when Mark Iles has announced the team on the BN feed, that gives me about an hour.

He'll probably be announcing the teams from Stevenage on Monday.

why do you think theyre doing that?

Last year when we played Barnsley in the playoffs they opened up loads more tickets at the last minute to allow more seats to be sold. They do it so that people are spread out around the stadium.

Reading fan at work has just purchased his- reckons 300 left from a 2500 allocation? Might have the latter number wrong

Ask him what time they're chucking tennis balls onto the pitch.

They've confirmed sold 1,200.

I know cheap tickets, but it's felt like the first time in ages, if ever since doing these cheap community days, where the away team has brought more than a taxi, certainly over 1,000.

The matches I can remember of the top of my head:

Posh, Leyton Orient, Exeter, Charlton, Accrington. I think Reading will bring more than those combined.

Absolutely by design. No point reducing ticket prices when a big away following is expected.

Cambridge and Rotherham spring to mind in last couple of years or so.

It does seem odd that a few more teams haven't brought bigger followings.

I'm guessing none of our away league games will ever be £10 unless its Plymouth on a Tuesday night or something.

Yeah, my point is that the discount we've done has barely had an impact at all on the size of the away followings.

This time being an exception, could be looking at 1,500 Reading fans coming, whereas it probably would've been 500 max beforehand.

Agree that the club has to be smart on these things. Dates being a huge factor but also the opposition club, obviously make no sense doing such a discount for when Derby, Wigan or Blackpool come to town.

we have been over all this before

lets say im a peterborough fan

50 quid plus for a train

more than that for refreshments. knocking 15 off the ticket price is not getting me to travel

these family days are set up for the benefit of home part timers hoping they get a taste and return

And so the high pitched munchkin voices like Lisa out of the Simpsons are more evenly spead out.

Correct.

£30 at Leyton Orient vs £10 at Leyton Orient (as an example before the pedants start) makes no difference to me at all after train/ale etc.

Exactly. As I said above a fiver for a ticket is no incentive to me when the whole package of transport and ale is more expensive than staying at home and watching the game on WTv in the warm in my undercrackers for a tenner. And that’s for a home game.

Looking at the ticketing map, if you want 2 seats together looks like there are only about 50 seats left

Opening up rest of South Stand I’ve heard
