I would like that line up too, but in the knockout stages. Seeing as we've qualified I'd like to see a few rested and an experiment with Wharton next to Rice - just in case we need a more robust defence if we need to hang on later in the tournament.

I'm not overjoyed with Trippier either and would like to see a stand-in this game - shame that Konsa who has been magnificent for Villa is so right sided leaving Gomez as the only realistic option.

But we need to win to avoid the big guns on the other side of the draw!

To be honest, we ought to be able to win even with some changes.

The first-names haven't yet ripped any trees up.

I don't think we will see many though.

Sky sports reporting only 1 change, being Gallagher for TAA.

Let’s hope it can be the confidence booster they need!

4-0 and all of a sudden we’re going to win the Euros.

We didnt look very good against Iceland when Mr Motivator made changes then!

Don't think I've ever been so less arsed about an England game in a major tournament.

The Southgate effect. It's every England game for me now (apart from any 'home internationals' I suppose. Got to keep them down).

Sounds like, if you go off the leaks, it's basically just Gallagher for Trent. Which is fine, but it doesn't address the bigger issue of absolutely fuck all on the left hand side.

The team is not balanced without a proper left sided player. It seems southgates plan is just pick his best players and hope it comes good.

I'll reserve proper judgement until the team comes out but if foden is on the left again he's basically putting his head in the sand.

Yep. I've proper loved the tournament as a whole and watched nearly every match.

I dread watching England. Feel like I'm sat in waiting room at the dentists today.

I assume you're being sarcastic, but just in case, 1) to win the competition we have to beat them all sooner or later anyway 2) is the idea to win the competition or get as far as we can by winning "easier" games and then moaning about how we bottled it 3) England are favourites according to some English bookies who want to shorten the odds because they know there are enough deluded England fans to bet on England so according to the bookies there are no guns bigger than England 4) should we go into the later stages with no tried and tested contingency such as the Wharton and Rice shielding partnership or have it nailed in case of injuries/dismissals/hanging on to a narrow lead? 5) As mentioned, we should beat Slovenia with a few changes anyway.

Fuck the so-called "big guns" - we are England, overdue a competition win and just about deluded enough to think we can actually do it this time (again) with this crop of players. Which we should if they pull their collective fingers out.

Same, I struggle to give a toss about watching England anyway, but this tournament I've not watched a great deal of, almost zero interest. Of course that will change if we get to the semi-finals, until then, I'll not be that bothered
