One of these teams will qualify in third place. Just saying....

Don't fancy England against any of them

If Croatia go out it reduces our chances of facing 3rd place in group D

Shows what can be achieved with togetherness, effort and positivity.

Belting effort from Austria .

Out to Austria in the last 16 then, we'll be pressed to fuck and Southgate won't know how to react to it

I think one of the teams we avoid is Portugal actually, was a quick glance at the screen

Thought we can get Italy in QF?

Can i get your take on every manager bar ramsey?

Yes mate. Chronologically OK?

Alberto Suppici. Hosts but a remarkable result for what remains the youngest ever World Cup winning coach. Great wingers and a bullocking centre forward in a traditional 5-3-2 with licence for wingers to swap wings regularly.

Vittorio Pozzo. Favoured an early version of 'catenaccio'. Rumoured to be a puppet of Mussolini. Dodgy deals with Italians bribing referees. You can see where Juventus got the idea from. Spilled over into the next World Cup played in Europe again rather than in S. America which caused uproar. The Italians winning again when Mussolini was at his zenith no surprise. Even bigger bribes paid very likely.

Juan Lopez. Incredible victory against the home team in Rio De Janeiro meaning that both Uruguay and Italy had won two each from the first four. Farmers have always been good at harvesting it seems. Lopez relied heavily on Schiaffino who went on to a stellar career at Milan. When Uruguay scored their winner in the Maracana it sparked chaos. Suicides, murders and worst of all, the shouting out loudly of nasty names.

I'll be back three weeks on Thursday with the continuation.

Yeh that can still happen if we win group

Too far away to be bothering about that.

Just win tonight.

My prediction of them being the dark horses going well so far

not one stand out team so far

lack of quality

never been so easy to make a living playing football

Probably true. Spain been the best of a stuttering lot. As we all know though. the competition starts now.

French arrogance might trip them up. An embarrassment of riches but their attitude has always been their potential downfall. If they click, I don't think anyone will stop them. At the moment, they look like a shock result could put them out and they would only have themselves to blame. Should probably be on 9 goals already for this tournament. Looking a bit half hearted. Probably disapprove of the way the cassoulet was cooked or not having the right eau de cologne in the hotel toiletries. Moody fuckers.

Can never discount Germany.

Remains to be seen if England can rise above their managerial impediment.

Fair comments all round. I might be being swayed slightly by many of the fanatics currently around me! They had blue and white striped shirts on in the morning then red ones at night! Chuck in the San Juan midnight bonfire celebrations and there are a lot of bloodshot eyes and headaches around here.

Fuckers keep driving around letting off firecrackers, honking horns and yelling in the wee hours. We might get a few nights peace now.

3 nil England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (well I hope because that's what the betting slip says!)

It's early days in this match but so far ffs we're as bad as the previous two games but without the early goal.

Brilliant move

Every England game so far has felt like the Oxford final. Slow, pedestrian, raggedy, wayward passing etc good players looking shite.  I might go and have a piss in the sink and recreate the whole Wembley experience.

Did you just see the offside? That's not Wembley in the play offs.

Happened as I was typing! Just seen Bellingham give the ball away again. Just doesn't look right to me. England not necessarily Bellingham.

Not convinced by Gallagher so far tbh.
