L/H White Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 I think the wycombe one has angered me more what a pathetic excuse no consideration for the fans whatsoever Quote

Next game is 8 days after rather than 7. Something odd about it. Probably have their joint Xmas party at board level on Sat or something like that Quote

But the following week is Christmas and we play Barnsley on the Thursday boxing day anyway. Its well weird. 7 minutes ago, radcliffe white said: Just no fucks given to the fans Got your cheap season tickets stop moaning Haha, we gave you Spice Valley now get back in your lane 😂 Quote

IE will be pleased to get more rest before the 2 games in 4 days. Fans won't come into it, if he loses to Barnsley and potentially gets a load of stick he won't be saying "yeah but at least our away fans are pleased they got to a game on Saturday not Friday" and I don't blame him. But the EFL shouldn't be allowing clubs to bring fixtures forward without very good reason, Barnsley would have every right to complain that we are getting an extra day's rest. Quote

Fairly sure it is. Quote

The Millwall switch a few years ago was the same. And I’d have fancied Barnsley to go to the 27th too if we weren’t playing on the 29th as well. Quote
Traf Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 With the Brittans living fairly close to Wycombe, it means they can knock of for Christmas early. They'll be home before we've got out of that fucking cul-de-sac. Quote

I’m not saying it will, I’m merely making the point that it’s not unusual for these small teams to play on the Friday before Xmas instead of the Saturday. Quote

Agree - and a few have and do do it, but if you have to go and do your shopping at that late stage - Jesus Christ Quote
Traf Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 I'd have been 50/50 about doing Wycombe the Saturday before Xmas. If it's Friday, I'm definitely not going. Quote
Marc505 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Wonder which fixture of the two gets shafted here. Quote

Latics got 844 so sounds like it’ll be in that region Fucking ridiculous really. Can only be about 200 tickets end up actually on sale to season ticket holders, if that. Away season ticket definitely paid off for that one! Quote
