It’s heading towards a non-spectator sport with kick-off times severely affecting the social aspect.

Away fans are absolutely crucial to a match day experience IMO.

3am kick offs for the yanks 😁

what a pathetic excuse

no consideration for the fans whatsoever

What actual fixture congestion are we avoiding by doing that as well

Evatt has tickets for the darts at Ally Pally on the Saturday.

It’s bollocks. Next game is 8 days after  rather than 7. Something odd about it. Probably have their joint Xmas party at board level on Sat or something like that

Only thing I could think at first is oh they're planning in advance for rearranging the international weekend postponements.

But the following week is Christmas and we play Barnsley on the Thursday boxing day anyway. Its well weird.

We best hope we don't make league cup quarter finals (hahahaha) as Wycombe would get moved again 😃

Next game is Barnsley on 26th, a Thursday, so it would have been 5 days, now its 6.  Then another on the 29th.  IE will be pleased to get more rest before the 2 games in 4 days.  Fans won't come into it, if he loses to Barnsley and potentially gets a load of stick he won't be saying "yeah but at least our away fans are pleased they got to a game on Saturday not Friday" and I don't blame him.  But the EFL shouldn't be allowing clubs to bring fixtures forward without very good reason, Barnsley would have every right to complain that we are getting an extra day's rest.

Isn’t it fairly standard for smaller clubs at our level & League 2 to move their games to Friday night on the weekend before Xmas?

Fairly sure it is.

Depends how the days fall around Christmas more than anything else. The Millwall switch a few years ago was the same. And I’d have fancied Barnsley to go to the 27th too if we weren’t playing on the 29th as well.

With the Brittans living fairly close to Wycombe, it means they can knock of for Christmas early.

They'll be home before we've got out of that fucking cul-de-sac.

I’m not saying it will, I’m merely making the point that it’s not unusual for these small teams to play on the Friday before Xmas instead of the Saturday.

Agree - and a few have and do do it, but if you have to go and do your shopping at that late stage  - Jesus Christ

Wonder which fixture of the two gets shafted here.

They’d better not, I’ve already organised to be working in Birmingham that day!

Heard the allocation for Stockport away is going to be 884!

Latics got 844 so sounds like it’ll be in that region

Fucking ridiculous really. Can only be about 200 tickets end up actually on sale to season ticket holders, if that.

Away season ticket definitely paid off for that one!
