Transfers - Other L1 teams

Interesting to see who some of our "rivals" are signing - so let's have a separate thread to keep the other one for BW chat.

To kick off, Charlton replaced May with Godden from Coventry, looks an excellent signing for this level, 50 goals in 156 games.

Brum partnering May with Juke potentially - Jutkiewicz signed a 1 year deal.  Will be good to see him play here again, one of my favourite strikers of recent times.

And Dan Udoh who looked a handful for Shrewsbury at our place a few months ago has signed for Wycombe.

Bollocks to the other teams. Can end up creating a sense of doom around yourself.  SS has our back, and that's all we can expect now. Fuck Wigan, fuck Stockport, fuck em all. Look

Brum & Rotherham will sort the top 2 spots Then around 10 teams going for play offs (thats my prediction on current transfer activity) people say we need only tweaks yes if the standard

Just read that Ryan Hardie is looking to leave Wrexham as he isn't getting games , wonder if schuey will try and bring him to Bolton in January.

It hurts enormously that we see Wrexham's fails as fodder for us. Jeez.

Ebiowei has been released by Blackpool, apparently an incredibly talented lad but with a proper ego problem...

Interesting if Evatt doesn't see him as a 'maverick' he can tame.

The last thing this squad needs is a disruptor.

Sod that, he’s exactly the kind of target man we’re missing, although with Victor coming back shortly SS may not see it as a priority and probably more important to move a few out instead.

He's quality and would be a great signing, but he's not a target man.  He wouldn't be replacing Burstow (or Dalby), he'd be a Forss or McAtee.  Can't see him dropping to L1 because he's done well in the Championship, but maybe SS would be a factor.

Him and SS got on really well apparently.

...and there's no way he'd be allowed to another Champ team.

So, a #10 eh. Lovely.

Need to shift a couple first mind.

I've just realised that since his move to Wrexham I have been completely mixing up Ryan Hardie with Mark Harris the lad at Oxford that had a great game against us in the Play Off Final.

Thought entirely that they were the same person, couldn't tell you why.

Well their surnames begin with a H 🤔

Santos to Blackpool unsurprisingly doing the rounds

Hope so, I'd love to see our forward line rip him to shreds.

Didn't realise he was 30.  He's had a few minutes for Swansea here and there recently, but looked overweight (as he often was when he was coming back from layoffs).  He needs game time and him and his best buddy would be a good pairing, suspect they could get him on loan.

Personalities and attitude aside he was a top L1 player when fit.

Well, he finally made his debut (as a 78th minute substitute) on the weekend, but was not in last night's squad with a brand new manager. Unless he picked up a knock in his cameo that's a bit odd.

Don't see him happy to drop a division so soon but yes, Evatt & he may fancy a loan.

Aye think loan seems to be the feeling to get some game time.

Suppose it's down to the new manager and how he plays...

High line and a 4 at the back he's offskis

Looks like Markham sporting director at Huddersfield.

Didn’t he come from there?

Markham confirmed.....Hope they have a good treatment room

That’ll be all the food we put in his fridge, that his missus told us about

What he'd give us, if we can find the right way to utilise him, is the sort of clinical finishing we could well do with in the latter half of the season. If he's to go anywhere we'd be as strong as candidate as any.

Macauley Langstaff also being touted about in the media, another worth considering but I'd sooner have Hardie. Back in L1 he'd add the goals that'd help take us up

I think we’d definitely have to be letting one or more go first Ian which would have to be Dalby, Forss or Burstow because I can’t see anyone risking Victor until he’s proved his fitness and McAtee isn’t really a striker. I suspect Forss would be the most likely which would be a shame but he hasn’t really done the business so far however highly rated.

You've lost the plot if you think Dalby, Forss or Burstow are being ushered out. Amazing what an away draw against a promotion rival does to peoples brains.

If it was up to most of our fans we'd need an entirely new squad for every away match

At least I have a brain. If you think we’re going to increase the strike force numbers in January it’s you who’s lost the plot.
