Transfers - Other L1 teams

Interesting to see who some of our "rivals" are signing - so let's have a separate thread to keep the other one for BW chat.

To kick off, Charlton replaced May with Godden from Coventry, looks an excellent signing for this level, 50 goals in 156 games.

Brum partnering May with Juke potentially - Jutkiewicz signed a 1 year deal.  Will be good to see him play here again, one of my favourite strikers of recent times.

And Dan Udoh who looked a handful for Shrewsbury at our place a few months ago has signed for Wycombe.

Bollocks to the other teams. Can end up creating a sense of doom around yourself.  SS has our back, and that's all we can expect now. Fuck Wigan, fuck Stockport, fuck em all. Look

Brum & Rotherham will sort the top 2 spots Then around 10 teams going for play offs (thats my prediction on current transfer activity) people say we need only tweaks yes if the standard

Hardly a surprise he's ended up in the champ. Anybody who thought he was coming back to league one is living in the clouds.

Thanks for the reminder they aren't in our league anymore :D

Not our league, but I'm surprised Barrow managed to sign Tom Barkhuizen

Surely he'd have had interest from clubs at our level

I’m sure a few were crying out for him😂

Another in at Huddersfield, Leo Castledine, midfielder on loan from Chelsea.

Was at Shrews last season, can't say I've heard of him but they are certainly collecting players.

I had to Google who Huddersfield's manager was

Vaguely remember the name as a player but no managerial experience and only a couple of years as coach

Not totally convinced about them

Nathan Lowe signed for Stockport. Will be an handful on Sunday. Great signing in my opinion.

Not L1, but Wrexham paying Ipswich £7.5mil for Nathan Broadhead.  God knows how many strikers they've got coz they've signed Windass and Hardie and no doubt still have some from last season.  Might be an opportunity to buy or loan one in a few weeks if we don't get Kenny.

Weren't impressed with him at Shrews but he was in a sh*t team last season tbf

Nineteen year old, did well at Walsall last year but still green and no real suggestion he’ll do it again this year in a higher league but as you say we’ll see.

Kone on his way out of Wycombe that severely weakens them.

Great prospect though and the type I’d have thought SS would have been interested in, especially as he knows the lad.
We might get a look at him on Sunday if he pokes his head out of Forino’s pocket.

Where is he going?

Preston have made a bid of £3m but, with Wycombe holding out for £5m, sources close to negotiations say Swansea have offered £4.5m.

I honestly don’t think he’s that good. Had a good first half season at Wycombe but very little after Christmas.

dunno to be honest

good business by Wycombe though, pick up a prolific lad from non league for nothing then sell him for £4-5M

in theory no reason we can't do the same with Warren....

We'll be a league higher by then, so may be in a position to keep him or sell for a lot more...

If hes not that good, explain why clubs are  offering millions?

Your answer lies in the post at the top of this page (Gary Madine). Clubs panic, make mistakes or just have bad managers / scouting systems.

I’ve no idea if Kone is any good or not by the way. He might be worth double for all I know. But clubs do make mistakes. As does @Whitesince63. Time will tell who’s right.

Have you heard of Joao Felix?
