Fuck me. Now they are watering HALF of the pitch - the half we'll be attacking.

I was wondering why a lot of our through balls we're skidding on whilst theirs were holding up during the first half.

Absolute top shithousery.

Says Collin’s scored on radio ManchesterΒ

I thought he had at first because Charles did Collins chicken celebration thingΒ

The orient lad did it too probably as a retortΒ

Toal, Santos and Iredale have been Dreadful 🫒

They really haven't.

Iredale was all over the show for the goal because the sun was in his eyes.

Santon and Toal haven't put a foot wrong.

Iredale is being targeted but TBF on that occasion I suspect the ball coming out of the sun was a factor.

Agreed, looked poor but if we'd scored with a great through ball and a good finish we'd be happy.Β  Oh wait, we did!Β  1-1 a fair reflection of a poor game.Β  Orient's stadium is one of them grounds I can't imagine watching a good game of football on!Β  Just get a result and hope its the last time we play there.

A good start but once again like last season we go in front then take the foot off the gas. Need to show a bit more composure second half and we should still win this.

Yes. Are you seriously watching this?

Minute 44 Baxter just launched it and they got a throw in.

Minute 45. Baxter wasting time. No one available for pass. Massive fuck off boot up pitch.Β

Β

That's not the entire match.Β

Controlled it for 30 minutes, but after they hit the bar they grew in confidence and we panicked. SchΓΆn had a few decent balls, Collins should have played him in rather than cut inside. Strong start second half now. COYWM

No idea what he's on about at all.

Think he's on the wrong match.

It's a typical 1st game of the season, cagey affair as expected really.

No wonder I don't venture on this side of the forum much anymore, there's even more moonmen than on the chat side!

In general though, our new shape looks good.

Looks like the same shape as last season to me?

3 at the back, 2 wing backs, 3 in the middle, 2 up topΒ

5-3-2 surely?

Looks like a 3 up top when we advance to me.

Arfield and Collins have swapped sides twice.Β

The lad who scored for Orient last year did it, apparently to mimic Kevin Nolan. He did something similar to Pompey too, celebrating like Kanu or similar.Β

Targeted Iredale or the sun since kick off and it finally paid off. Eased off after the Charles goal and that's cost us. Commentators are under water. Terrible audio.

So that’s plan A with the tweaks ?

It is 343/523 including the full backs.

Basically from what I've seen, the difference is that we have actual wingers now and press as a 3, they tuck inside a bit when we're deeper in our half.

The shape has been good, they didn't know what to do first 30 minutes, but then we take our foot of the gas, Iredale slips, they score and get momentum.

Not been a great watch but let's get the 3 points and get out of this cursed stadium.

That's what I was thinking.Β  But the formation is a long way from being the main issue, some composure on the ball and periods of possession are what we're lacking currently, the formation isn't a factor in poor passing and control.

I anticipate we'll continue to chip it forward for the runs of Collins, Dion and the wide men - and the ball will pitch, and then shoot 10 yds forward off the soaking grass out of reach just as it did in the first half.

When they attack it will start to hold up for them as that end should be drying out by now.

Our only hope of dealing with it is to break the press and play it on the ground.

Well, if you'd waited they then started watering just the other half. So not shithousery after all.
