Ros Coe Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Chuffed with the win but is there any point in having a midfield.. completely bypassed.Β I actually found that quite a painful and stressful watch π€ Quote
Deanu Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Grinded out the win that's the main thing, bloody tough place to go for us. Could have easily been a loss but our bench is gonna win us a lot of games this season when we're struggling Quote

Give opponents something else to worry about and keep them guessing. I'm sure we'll get better as the squad gets to know each other's games, and the injured lads come back. Quote
Marc505 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Baxter's saved us that today some superb saves. Ground it out, McAtee looks like a proper mon, Evatt looking unreal. Let's ave it Quote
noxid Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Great win to start the season. McAtee a great addition. All the subs looked impressive. Hope Lolos isn't too injured. He looked sharp and strong with what little he had to do. Baxter save as good as a goal. A real scrap to start the season and a great three points. Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 (edited) It's a while since I saw a wide player do what SchΓΆn did. Proper outlet & looked to beat his man. A good, promising, start. We know Collins is class, McAtee looks it too. Edited August 10, 2024 by Dr. Feelgood Quote
Eddie Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Strength in depth is already showing. Assume a few of the starters / those on the bench will switch positions once they all bed in but itβs amazing to have the options. Just win the first game, tough place to go, donβt look too much into how we played, 3 points is key. Quote

paulhanley Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Thank god for the cavalry. And there's more of it over the hill with the likes of Johnston, Forino, Forrester and Dempsey if he's ever fit. Excited to see more of the new signings. The ability to make five subs is a bonus when you are one of the bigger clubs in a division.Β Very important win in our first game after that dreadful play off final.Β Bring on them taffs next weekend. wakey Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Credit to Evatt making changes that genuinely changed the flow of the game - something he seemed incapable of last year. All the new boys look promising, McAtee in particular looks a handful. Great result, better still to come. Quote

Credit to him in some ways but he still takes risks we do not need to make ie no keeper or Centre back on the bench Subs again we got away with it on the left hand side, but swapping Toal with Iredale is not the answer andΒ why oh why did he use all the substitutions........ffs keep one back Baxter, Santos and the New Hungerian lad excellent.........Vic, Mcatee, and Matete changed it for us last 30 Baxter awesome MOM Quote

gonzo Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Kelman had Iredale on toast. Thank God the manager rectified the situation with a bold move and stopped it. We were getting overran in midfield too and he sorted that. We were having no luck down the right and he sorted that. Some in-game management...who'd ave thunked it eh Quote
