I completely get those that hate Oasis and can understand why But for me they hit something at the right time. Punk had gone. Pub rock had gone. Loud rock guitar bands had gone. We’d had acid hou

If culture club or radiohead announced a tour today it would barely make the news.

Oasis this week was the headline news on ever major news outlet and is literally the first thing anyone's spoken about since it broke.

Liam sold out Knebworth last summer as well as UK and European tour of sold out mega venues.

If you asked a man in the street to name a famous band 9/10 would say Oasis.

Every single person in this country knows who the Gallagher brothers are.

Who in Christ's name knows who's in Radiohead ffs :D

Always the same with these debates, just because you don't like something personally, it doesn't make them shit.

Nobody can deny the impact Oasis made on this country, whether you like them or their 4th album or not.

Oasis had the biggest selling album of the 90s , other than the Verve no one else being mentioned as a comparable band are in the top 20. You can argue till you are blue in the face about others being 'better' but to try and  say  anyone was bigger or more impactful than Oasis in this country is just wrong.

It's on the front page of most papers today to

For the record, I took my mum to watch culture club at haydock racecourse FFS

That would definitely get me on the phone for tickets! 😁

And me, those would be some concerts. Will never happen though and probably for the best.

I one asked Marr at a book signing what would it take to get the Smiths back together, he said for 'McDonalds to serve vegetarian stuff' - well there you go -  Screenshot_20240828_132840_SamsungInternet.thumb.jpg.0439e32eed1f9560300674b912bc4493.jpg

14 nights at say 80,000 each

say £150 a ticket

£ 168,000,000 million

not a bad Gig

for two weeks work

They now do vegan 'ice-cream' too, I'd rather eat my body weight in that shit than go see anything with Morrissey in it.

Minus Ticketbastard’s fees. So make that around £1 million.

Now if you’d said that you’d rather be hit by a double decker bus, it would have added a poetic feeling to your view of Mr. Morrissey. Another Manc of Irish heritage born in Davyhulme, Lancashire according to Wiki. Enough info there for limitless WW tangents.

and wembleys fees

if its a MILLION a night

they will make there money on drinks and food

80,000 piss cans X5 pints each

400,000 @ £7 =£2,800,000

Can’t see Marr even wanting to be in the same room as that bellend. Never happening

I read £14 million per gig

And Noel and Liam will take home £50m each by the end of it

Whats the 14 million figure?

Revenue per gig, presumably tickets plus hospitality plus food and booze

Makes me laugh music snobs and those with their hands over their ears denying the enormity of both the band and this reunion.

Some of the camparisons are hilarious! 🤣

How many pre 30 year olds would be interested in Radiohead, Blur or Culture Club 🤣

Anyway the important stuff:

- How does this pre-sale ballot work?

- Is the Saturday morning a queue a period of time before, or fastest finger refresh at 9am? - Any comparisons to BWFC away ticket purchases, gladly appreciated 😊👍

Could recreate the whole experience on a budget,

1st. Go to Tesco and buy there weakest lager, you could put it in your fridge but for a more authentic experience we recommend you don't.

2nd. Go and put your smallest TV as far up your garden as you possibly can and prepare this to play grainy YouTube images.

3rd. Wait for a drizzly night and ask someone to drop you and a couple of mates at the other side of a part of town that you are unfamiliar with and tell them that you'll walk back home.

4th. After a long trapce back stand at your own back door for 50mins then ask your wife to pass you a warm lager and turn to the previously prepared grainy images on YouTube and pretend you're enjoying it for 10mins or so.

5th. Get one of your mates to urinate on your shoes and stand at your back door again for 50mins.

6th. If its not already raining, ring a neighbour and get them to pop a sprinkler on in your direction, then when its really dark get one of your party to drop there phone and all of you trample it into your lawn.

7th. Think of the fun you've had and the money you saved.

Win Win.

And loads more will be added whilst there is demand. Anybody who wants to see them live will be able to, tickets won't be a problem, especially nearer the time, when those who've bought more than they need realise they can't shift them
