We had a flurry of corners first half to impose ourselves but so flat, santos dancing in the 6 yard box but doing nowt

Just not that type of team are we.

We were never gonna rock up tonight be total shithouses flying in to tackles and roughing them up.

Just haven't got it in us.

Not even sure that kind of stuff even exists anymore.

The fitness and levels of ability are miles higher than ever before.

We beat Arsenal in 94 and they were a team littered with alcoholics.

The corner delivery was abysmal. Someone who can miss the first man needs to take them off Sheehan

I think we just went through the motions tonight, rightly so, let’s move on.

Camera behind the goal had all our players at the back post and how many of our corners hit the sweet spot?

i refer back to that video of us against Sunderland in 75 on the YouTube thread and our goals. Hit the back fucking post with players steaming in

Do our corner takers need leg strengthening exercises?

Anyway fuck it. Saturday is more important

For a technician, his corners were woeful

They've been the same for a year or so. And free kicks where it's a cross, rather than shot. Someone else needs to take them as he clearly doesn't have the technique.

Yeah let’s not taint previous heroics. These lot aren’t fit to lace their boots. That’s not necessarily a dig at this mob either

Not even close pal.

Just saying the gap between us and Arsenal now is miles bigger than then in regards technical ability and fitness.

Plus a good £350m+ worth of talent.

West Ham lost 5-1 too

That's definitely more embarrassing. I think most of the gripes on here are just how preventable a few of the goals were, not the loss. The first especially is inexplicable

Agree. No one expected fuck all tonight.

It’s a reasonable ask not to gift Arsenal  at least one of their goals though.

Wake up tomorrow and Arsenal isn’t making or breaking anyones season.

Crawley will and my gut says the excuses will be rolled out. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

Going pound for pound v Arsenal was stupid before, stupid during and stupid after. No getting round that.

So it was all pretty pointless even turning up? Sort of sums up football in general particularly cup competitions for lower league teams. There's got to be more to it than just earning a butty surely?

I wouldn’t say pointless, it gave our squad a chance to play against a very strong Prem side. I know they could replace an international with another international but unless we’ve got an injury I think it’s worth the trip. At least there was no extra time and penalties.

It does show that we are making the same mistakes over and over again.

Something none of us were worried about😂

Agreed. McAtee probably should have passed it earlier but did well in the end with the backheel.

I think against teams of this calibre you need to be quick. Cross and pass quickly and don't let them get set as they are too good. We had plenty of chances to just whip it or drive it in and someone should knock it in off the arse.
