Barrow (A)

Are many going on Tuesday?

I know a lot want us to get knocked out early but I see it as another good opportunity for fringe players to get game time, and anyone who is playing poorly to bounce back.

  • For all those tonight saying it’s delaying the inevitable - fuck off. Not because you might be wrong. But for coming on here thinking you need to make a point to people who are pointing out some

That was a well worked free kick.

Our free kicks and corners are woeful

Evatts Mark Robbins moment.....? Hope so.

Did you cash out @2-1?

Why do they keep passing to GT when he's surrounded by opposition?

Nope, 3-2 I did though, shaved a tenner off the pot but hey ho

Tough this competition. I see Villa's "U21s" included Ross Barkely and Buendia.

Three good goals but that was poor

Sloppy Lazy Football, Tomasson and Shone Terrible

Said we'd win!

Plenty to do by all accounts, but a win is better than a loss.

Well we won, but far from convincing and just feels like cracks being papered.

Hopefully confidence booster for McAtee and Collins, but they don't look like they will form a solid partnership, some words had when McAtee didn't quite round the keeper.

Need serious improvement to convince me this is working.

Yet others say Thomason was the only one trying to get it forward with any pace?

Didn't see it, but my view is that it's better to have a bloke trying to make things happen, even if it's not great, than no one taking responsibility and achieving even less.

Bullshit.

Ok, it's "only" Barrow in the tinpot trophy.

But there's something to be said for them coming back like that in the 2nd half, in horrible conditions, when there's already huge (deserved) pressure from the fanbase.

Cracks papered for now. Hopefully there's a great big bucket of Polyfilla arriving at Lostock over the international break.

Indeed.

Got to give credit where it's due.

May have been a bit biz, but they found a way.

That’s true; but he must’ve give the ball away on at least 15 separate occasions. A couple of times he turned out of trouble really well but he’s got that calamitous error about him.

Schon was better 2nd half. Need see a bit more of him to make a proper judgement.

The most worrying thing is the amount of shit goals we've conceded this season. Not going anywhere if we keep giving the opposition 2 goals.

Thomasson was shit tonight. Gave ball away about 50 times. Simple passes. He's been good this year but tonight he wasn't

Struggled against a League Two team with our arguably strongest line up. Just delaying the inevitable.

He has. They all have.

It's third division football.

We've seen plenty of times previously though, that when we play with pace and movement, his passing is excellent, and the team also uses it better as a whole.

As said above, he always tries and never shirks because it might not be working.

Others do seem to go missing, particularly when given some physical stuff.

Rest of the season is going to see physical stuff, so we'd better prepare for it.

Good second half....Nothing changing it is when not if

I reckon plenty of these opinions about players' performances could have been written before a ball was kicked tonight.

Anyway, a win and all our forwards off the mark for the season.

And time to fix some of our many issues over the break.

That's me out of positives, but I've give it a good go.

Looked far too vulnerable at the back for me
