Way I see it is this….

Champions League. Flawed from the outset. It isn’t. It used to be. But isn’t now. Needs taking back to its original idea then it’s a “Champions League”

World Cup. It’s for the world. I’ve done a complete U-turn. Why should it be restricted to a small number of teams? Let it be a festival of football. Let the likes of Haiti, New Zealand and Cape Verde have a go. When else would we see them having a chance on a big stage?

I’ve liked the fact that it’s been there in the background this summer. Yeah it’s taken a while but nobody’s forced me to watch stuff, stay up late, etc. All my choice

Blatter's old trick - give every tinpot island nation a vote in return for a few million in grant to develop kid's and women's football. Of course when the sport's minister (PM's brother in law) buys two new Bentley's and the teams in question get a bag of balls and some new track suits, there's plausible deniability from Infantino.

Incredible that the revenue it generates isn’t enough.

The bubble bursting may actually happen again and it’s hard to argue it’s a bad thing.

Aren't FIFA's top brass already raking it in?

If they sell some of this on, aren't they potentially doing themselves out of dosh in the long term.

Anyway, I'd advocated for some time that we, together with other European nations should fuck them off.

Let Donald have his "biennial world cup" in America, with loads of also ran nations competing with his USA team for the title of champions.

Each game lasting 4 and a half hours, with 17 substitutes, adverts, refreshments breaks, singers and dodgy island owners all putting in an appearance.

when you say "run it by concacaf" do you not mean "grease their palms" like Sepp used to do with Jack Warner
